They're cheap, they fly the dreamliner, but you don't get checked luggage and seat selection unless you go for the lowfare+ upgrade and they don't fly everyday so you need to be flexible with dates and they have a very limited fleet making a change of plans very problematic
We flew Norwegian last Aug into Fort Lauderdale. Wouldnt fly to FL airport again but would def fly Norwegian. Dreamliner was lovely, meal was best I have had on a flight. We paid relatively small charge for meal, baggage, seat pre booking. Flight week before ours was delayed from the Fri to Sun but that was early days and was only major delay I read about.
We flew last August but we went from Gatwick to Oslo to Orlando.
The flights were fine, everything was standard.
We were delayed on the way home so journey home ended up the longest journey ever and we still had to drive home to Liverpool.
That of course could happen to any airline. We didn't opt for food we took a Boots meal deal on the way and when we landed in Gatwick went to Marks and Spencer.
They did have some spare food on the way home and gave us some anyway but we didn't eat it!
All in all I would fly with them again but I'm not sure i would fly that route again unless it was super cheap!
Andrea,
We are flying Man-oslo-FLL with Norwegian this summer. Was there anything you particularly hated about Oslo? The flights are super cheap to be honest. We did fly with Norwegian to FLL direct from Gatwick last summer with no problems. There was a big delay on the flight the Friday before but we were fine.....we stayed in a travelodge on the return journey with early check in, we then went to sleep until the evening time and headed home about 8pm.
I understand the journey is tiring to Gatwick from up north which is why we decided to go from Manchester this year. We are flying to Oslo the night before and staying overnight just in case of delays.
I thought the food was completely vile in my opinion but me husband enjoyed it, work that one out
