Just came on to post this, you beat me again :rotfl2:

Great prices for next summer at £418 direct:thumbsup2

Sorry Wayne and it looks like you can do just a one way trip either way for £209 so good for those who want to cruise a transatlantic route during the summer.

A Virgin flight on 1st Aug returning 22 Aug 2014 to MCO is currently £1,163 with £331.17 of that being the tax and surcharge.

When you compare that with the quote above to Fort Lauderdale on the same dates the fare with Norwegian Air is £418 with £172.50 of that being taxes and surcharge.

Well worth the 210 mile drive up to Orlando.

Well worth the 210 mile drive up to Orlando.

It sure is. Just checked car hire - about £300 for the two weeks, and a couple of days in Ft L to relax before flying home - sounds like a plan.

Cracking prices and nice to have another airline to choose from... But its just the drive that would be a killer at that time of night if you were going direct to Orlando area after a long flight, also we normally finish our holiday off in Clearwater Beach so we would be looking at a 5 hour drive back to the airport on top of a 10 hour flight back home...

But saying that it is a real budget option that will appeal to lots of people and I wouldn't rule it out for next time..

So .... have you booked, or are you really going elsewhere :rotfl:

2870 for seven of us next aug, thats crazy be interested in reviews of them but the drive outs ne iff at that time

Prices do seem crazy... We have already booked and paid for next August, only thing that puts me off is London Gatwick as it take us about 4 hours to drive there and then the long drive to and from DW / Clearwater where we normally stay...

Spirit Airlines fly from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando from around £50pp in the summer - still saves our family around £600 by booking these! Only problem is we can't change our dates as we are meeting my parents at the hotel, so would have to add a night on either side. Definitely something worth looking at!

Can your budget stretch to an overnight stay in a premier inn at gatwick?

This would definitely interest us in the future, we've flown in/out of Miami a few times, also great for anyone picking up a cruise, if they extend to November it would definitely be a contender for us next year after our transatlantic cruise, its such a pain to find a one way decent priced flight.

Most of the cheapest seats in August have sold out and the same August 1st departure with flight return on 22nd Aug is now £598.90 whereas it was £418 earlier today.

We are doing one last trip with our AP's next July, have considered this deal but we want Thursday to Saturday, 16 nights.
This deal would be a drive to London with overpriced parking plus hotel. Arrive late at the other end so a night near FLL airport meaning only 13 nights in Orlando, so almost losing 3 days off our 16 nights, plus I hate the drive back from Gatwick day we land.
Its a great direct price but I would rather pay a littl emore for indirect from Manchester and get the full 16 nights. We are looking at first 2 weeks in July so hope to get flights for around £450pp, I could get VA direct recently for £600pp

Trip after that is our Transatlantic cruise in Sept, got flights to Barcelona from Leeds Bradford so really need to get a one way from Florida to North of England for a taxi to collect us.
