Norway Ride & Rivers Of Light (Disappointing Progress Updates)

Not saying there's a conspiracy theory, but could it be possible for ROL that there is NO technical issue, that a preview was given to the Brass and the whole show just fell flat and they've had to go back redo major parts to bring it up to expectations? Airlines, any time they don't sell enough tickets for a flight, they many times cancel it and claim mechanical.
This is definitely technical. I would've have seen discussion if it was otherwise.

1) For RoL:
. . . from what I hear, there is a conflict among micro-switches and limits switches which has not been resolved.
. . . things don't happen when they should
. . . things happen when they should not
2) For Norway Frozen:
. . . they are actually testing the ride on the 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:00am)
. . . not yet ready For Prime Time
. . . but things are progressing

...something about charging the batteries on board and a safety issue is a major problem for ROL

Does it seem like Frozen could be doing soft openings around Memorial Day weekend? Or will we have to wait until June for the first openings?

Depends on how fast they get it ready. I'm sure it's possible but I wouldn't count on it by any means.

MDE actually has a selection for FEA under attractions! It says FEA -- Opening in June! Not sure if anyone else has seen this. Or if I'm late to the game. I haven't checked MDE in a day or two. Promising!

I think it's been that way for a couple weeks.

Frozen for sure. Rivers of light I'd say 85% yes.
Cool thanks, I am sure hoping so on both as well as soarin. I actually planned a night time visit to AK just for the night stuff but I can always change it if things don't look good as December approaches

These days Disney purposely takes longer on projects. They will do this to spread out the costs over multiple fiscal budgets. This in the long run makes it "cost less" for Disney than it would if they did it in a reasonable amount of time. I am not sure if or how Disney punishes contractors for actually not being on time.
Actually, stretching out the time it takes to finish a project screws up with finances for the project. While you are correct that it spreads out the expenditures it really screws up the ROI (Return on Investment). The clock for ROI starts as soon as you make the first expenditure for a project so the longer the project takes to complete the longer that money has been spent. Just ask anybody who works in the corporate world and you'll only hear them talking about ROI and how delayed start up of a project really screws it up!

Disney spreads their projects out to pay for them across multiple fiscal budgets rather than all at once. I'm not saying it's right or wrong but that's what they do.

1) I am attending the Opening/Preview of AK "evening" activities on May 24th.
2) Everything except RoL is supposed to be running.
. . . evening Safari
. . . evening Tree of Life
. . . evening Jungle Book
. . . evening Everest
3) Still no official word on RoL readiness.

Will this be going on all week? I will be in WDW the 24-31, and I have FP scheduled for AK on Sunday, hoping to see the Jungle Book show, and nighttime Kilimanjaro Safaris.

That preview he is attending is private. AK at night opens the 27th.
