Norway College Program kids alerted to pavilion closing?

It's not only to me, Arendel was based loosely on Norway; that isn't made up.

Loosely based doesn't make it REAL. You'll just have to live with the notion we fundamentally disagree and I'm not budging on my stance.

;-)

I can understand adding Frozen aspects into the Maelstrom or even changing the whole ride AS LONG AS it doesn't become a dark ride, revolving around the story of Frozen... I would hate it, but I would COMPLETELY understand.

HOWEVER...if they change Norway to Arendel, it takes away all credibility to the World Showcase. The great thing about World Showcase is celebrating the diversity around the globe by learning about the different cultures, visiting the countries, having a taste of their food, learning about how they live, etc etc. If they changed Norway to Arendel...not only is that a big middle finger to Norway (completely taking them out of World Showcase and singling them out as the least important), but it destroys the whole concept behind IllumiNations, as well! How can the countries unite if we kicked one out?! Arendel is a fairytale land. It belongs in Fantasyland. End of story.

There are rumours that Illuminations will be changing as well.

What bothers me most about all of this is not the ruination of Norway, but the missed opportunity for DHS. That park needs sooooo much help, is dedicated at its core to the celebration of film making, and would be the perfect place to install new and exciting themed adventures based on recent films such as Frozen, Cars, Wall-E, Up, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc. (and Monsters U), just to name a few. Sure, we can all hope for and expect a Star Wars overlay at some point. But the park is much bigger than what a Star Wars expansion could handle. They can't turn the entire park into Star Wars Land. It would be too repetitive and too polarizing. Even the two HP areas at Universal comprise just a small sliver of the overall park space. Even if SW accounted for twice as much square footage as the two HP areas combined, that would account for less than 1/5 of DHS. DHS needs a huge SW expansion, a huge Pixar expansion, and a huge infusion of non-Pixar movie tie-ins and Frozen would have been a major anchor franchise there. Copping out and putting some Frozen lipstick on the Norway pig is a cheap, cheesy and inferior way to go about all of this. IMHO, anyway.

I wasn't trying to change your mind but I will change mine if they sell some real Norwegian beer in the pavilion.

I don't drink...dang it! We'll find common ground somewhere...how do you feel about puppies?

Puppies are acceptable but they must be Frozen themed.

Until Universal starts eating away at WDW profits nothing will get changed at any of the parks.

I'm all for learning where your food comes from and being responsible in teaching children to respect the circle of life. I just find your suggestion a bit odd, making the animals cute and fun through Finding Nemo, then juxtaposing that with seafood restaurants! haha! That seems almost the reverse of teaching them the truth, instead traumatising them!

How is it any different than The Seas with Nemo pavilion in future world and then eating at Coral Reef (where they serve lots of seafood...)?

Loosely based on a real place doesn't mean that Arendel isn't still a fictitious place. If Norway, a real place, can be replaced by a ficitious place in world ajowcaser, then any other country (that is no longer providing money/support) could find the same fate.

Except for the massive Avatarland that is currently being built at Animal Kingdom... ... ..

Didn't I see that Universal's attendance figures are getting close to AK's? Perhaps.something Disney anticipated once they saw WWoHP's impact
