I have been watching fares for Jan. the last few weeks. I was waiting to see what SW would offer today.
We fly from Indy and want nonstop. SW was 300.00 a ticket which is very high.
I was looking at NWA for 190.00 the last few days and then today after SW was so high, I went to check NWA and it was only 120.00 pp for nonstop both ways.

I jumped on it.

I have never flown with NWA. Is there some reason they were so cheap today? Is there something to be concerned with?

I just made my reservations from IND to MCO on NWA. R/T fare was also $120.80(everything included) for Jan. 30-Feb. 5. I love SWA because they make the other airline prices go down.

lomillerin, I fly NWA several times a year and they have been very good from IND. Don't forget to get online and make your seat assignments 90 days before your departure date and 90 days from your return date. You can also use DME both ways on NWA. Let WDW know your flight information.

We live in Indy but have always flown out of Chicago. I was hoping for something around $150.00, so this is a great surprise. No more having to hunt for good airfare. We are going from Jan. 27- to Feb 3. My honey wasn't to keen about having to miss the superbowl, but we were able to get an afternoon flight back to Indy to catch it :) Thanks a lot for the post it saved me a ton. (Now what can I buy?:rotfl2: )

OP thank you for posting. We were waiting to book feb 8 and feb 17. I think I get feb 17 southwest for around $129, southwest is to call me tomorrow (another story). Anyway Feb 8 really wasn't selling out, so I waited to ask DH which time and where he wanted to fly into Tampa or Orlando, going to Busch Gardens first day. Flights were $577 MDW to MCO feb 8. I read your post, I checked and from IND to MCO total $241.60. Waa Woo. We have never flown Northwest but I'm willing.

NWA has been having a system wide sale for a few days.

They missed Indy until today. I have been checking daily for a few weeks. The fare from IND to MCO was about $190 r/t for a few weeks, until today, it dropped to $120.80 r/t for my trip.

ARe you guys going right on the NWA site? I am looking and have heard there are sales, but the one day I want to leave is higher than the other days ( or at least it looks that way to me. LOL) If i leave on a Friday it's 163 total, but on Sunday it's like 188 total, including fees. If I leave Friday the hotel is more, but hte flight is less, if I leave Sunday the hotel is less and the flight is more. either way it comes out about the same! UGH!
Is there any code I should be putting in for a NWA sale?
Also I have looked on sites like Orbitz and travelocity and I have never found a better price on them. NWA is the same or cheaper. Why bother going to these sties? I thought they were to get us better proces?
