Northface... is there a way to get a discount?

My DD10, now in Middle School, really wants a Northface fleece. First off, I am having difficulty reconciling the $50 difference in price between an LLBean fleece and the Northface one. Is there something special about the Northface product? ...Or is this just another thing that gets put on the "must-have" list for some unknown reason?

Anyway...is there any way to get a discount on Northface stuff? Do they have sales? This is all new to me... Don't even ask about the Uggs. I'm sure I'll be posting about them soon...

Thanks for any help you can give!

Do you have a Premiere OUtlet Mall near you. Ours in Oshkosh, Wisconsin has a Skier's Outlet and a Columbia Outlet and I saw them for about $89.

Northface is just a label, same fleece as LL Bean. I saw the Columbia ones for $30.00.

Sometimes DicksSporting goods have them on sale as well.

Northface stuff will hold up better then most others.I have a good bit of there stuff and they show no where.

You wouldn't know when that sale occurs, would you?

Nordstrom's has Northface jackets at their annual summer sales. The popular Denali jacket typically can be found on sale in about February at sporting goods stores. (Dick's etc.)

They have good prices at Moosejaw.com and deliver fast.

Also, Dick's Sporting Goods online has 20% off with code APPAREL20 and if you use Google check out you get another $10.00 off. This would probably be your best deal right now but I don't know if they would be backordered or not. That's what happened when I tried to order my daughter one for her birthday and I ended up getting it from Moosejaw. I paid more but she got it in time!

Also, there are two North Face fleeces - the Denali and the Khumbu. Since my DD wears adult sizes I couldn't justify the Denali at $165 but I believe the girl's Denali is around $89.00. (The Denali is the one the kids prefer). The Khumbu is a lighter weight 200 fleece. My daughters wear the Khumbus almost every day and if I found a deal I would buy a Denali. They are nicely made. Another hint I received too late for one jacket - don't put them in the dryer and wash with powder soap.

Hope this helps - spent a bit of time on this a few weeks ago as you can tell!

OMGoodness!!! Thank you! Thank you! I just ordered from Dick's following your directions and I got the Denali for $66.18 including shipping!!!!! Oh, thank you!

I don't know why...but I feel so much better about the purchase by NOT spending $89 + shipping!!!

Thanks, again!

Glad you found a good deal.
I just wanted to let you know that I ordered a backpack from Dicks that didn't work out and they were great to deal with when I had to return it. That's always a plus!

Yep, NorthFace is popular right now, the up side being that at least it's a quality product.

I'd much rather buy a nice NorthFace jacket that is going to hold up than plunk down almost as much for a couple of Abercrombie t-shirts that look like they're ready for the donate pile right off the store shelf.
:confused3

I actually got a good deal on Ebay for the Greenfield (I think that is the name)coat for my DD. Normally it costs $250 and I got it for $110. I know she would want to Denali too, but one is enough for this year!

Another tip is the children's Large or X-Large is the same size as an adult's medium. I could almost wear a child's size and was sooo excited. That is how we bought our daughter one in 8th grade - Felt much better that we could buy a child's size for the same thing at a lot lower price.

Is there any difference in the look of a children's size as opposed to the adult size? I would assume they would be identical, just sized differently.

Thank you for the code :thumbsup2 . But how do you get "Google check out". I don't understand that.

When you get to the check out page, there will be a place (I think on the right hand side) that says Google Check Out. Click on it and sign up. If you have a gmail account, it's easy as pie. Otherwise, it's just like checking out at any website.

Good luck!

Oh, and don't forget to put in the code before you click on Google Check Out.
