Someone once said that grandkids are your reward for not killing your own kids.

Love it ... Hope you don't mind me quoting you at work on this one... Another good quote is:

The reason that Grandkids and Grandparents get along is that they share a common enemy! :rotfl:

Yep they want $$$ for the updates, so I wait a while to make sure they are in there. Our street is not even on google maps.

Also if ya have several GPS units, I admit we have a few for different uses. The maps sets from garmin only work on two units, so there is more $$$$.

Emily, the blow up lawn thingies don't work at all here in windy Cheyenne, they just end up in Nebraska. Really.

I found out they don't work too well in Alabama either. The day after we put it up we had some rain/wind and up out of the ground came the 8 ft. carousel.:confused3 Now we need a plan B, don't really want it ending up in our driveway again. Luckily one of our neighbors saw it and rescued it so it didn't get torn up.:worship:

Oh Eva bet you can't wait to find out if a grandson or grandaughter :)

Claire ;)

Absolutely. It is like a do over with the added feature of being able to hand them over to their parents if things get out of control. They are just special...

Absolutely! My 3 year old little granddaughter is the light of my life. I feel she can do no wrong. But I only have her over a couple times a week. She spends the night about every other weekend too. So like Bob says, it's reall easy when you can send them home......Our 6 year old grandson became our grandson by marriage in July this year. He is a terribly sweet little boy. But he is very energetic and really wears poor grandma out. But he is still much easier than a teenager!

Stop taunting me, you two!!! Absolutely NO sign of grandchildren over here :furious: and I just know I'd be the BEST grandmama!!!

...But he is still much easier than a teenager!

Not all teens are created equal as I don't think any boy could be easier than my Samuel. He's easy-going, good company, a thoroughly nice chap and fifteen years old!!! :goodvibes :cool2: :rotfl2:

:surfweb:

GM :coffee:

Presently 45 going up to 66 here in Sunny Central Florida :)

Happy Birthday and Anniversary to all who are celebrating :dance3:

:grouphug: pixiedust:  to everyone who is going to need it today

Have a great Wednesday

I agree. Wanna trade for a few months? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

What's everyone doing for Thanksgiving? We're going out to eat and a movie, minus daughter's husband. The place we chose is not high class enough for him so he says he's not going. With the economy the way it is and dh's company laying off 50% in Jan we can't affford a $100 each for dinner. I just don't understand people that look down their noses at others.

For those of you traveling, have a safe trip. Everyone else, have a great Thanksgiving!

Wow!!! I may be a Brit but, to me, that doesn't seem to be any reflection of the spirit of Thanksgiving... :sad2: I'm sorry he feels that way but hope you all have a great time... :flower3:

We will be cooking at home, I enjoy cooking and honestly think I do better quality and the expense is less, anyway that works for us.

Did get more lights up last night. 9 more strands to go, the the trees and outside trees and static stuff.

Good Morning Cruisers! Was too busy to make it to the boards yesterday – but got all my shopping for Thanksgiving out of the way!

As Scott said, we are making dinner here, that way we get left-overs, and I live for left-overs, that means I do not have to cook as much. Scott is the chef in our family, he makes the gourmet meals, and I do the basic ones. We have found a recipe for turkey - sweet potato shepards pie that I am anxious to try! I also want to echo - for those traveling - safe journeys!

We have been working on the icicle lights in the evenings, last evening was calm and we managed to get up several strands – hopefully tonight will be calm also so we can get a couple more up. That should leave only one or 2 left for the weekend, and the forecast is not great for the weekend – it is supposed to get cold and some snow. The wind is the hardest when up on a ladder, and holding long strings of lights, the static decorations will be easier to put up in the wind!

Weather has been really nice all week!

Have a great day, and a great Turkey Day tomorrow!

We're having dinner at our house with me, DH and our parents. It won't be too big since 4 of us are leaving for WDW the next morning and we don't want to have too many leftovers.

I just went to the DCL website and looked at the price for a Cat 4 on this cuise and it shows that it is $440 more than it was when we booked it in Oct.

So much for thinking this cruise might come down in price with fuel prices coming down and the economy tanking.

That is crazy! 100 dollars per person. I guess I am cheap (well, I know I am cheap..LOL), but I think an excellent meal can cost much less than that and be very memorable and nice.

Smart move...

ITA. I think they will discount some cat 12's as the time grows near. That is their usual motive. However, with this being the FIRST baltic, I think the two in the middle will be more greatly discounted. Of course this is totally a guess.

As soon as I put the bows on the deer ALL of our decorations for Christmas are done!
