We are at the Outer Banks and while it is very beautiful, it is very cold. The temperature did not make 50 degrees yesterday...

Would love to see some photos, Bob!!! Have a wonderful time...

...But we are at the beach and the kids will start arriving today and we are very lucky to have so much. I guess that is easy to forget in this frantic world today...

Anybody out there have a GPS??? I just started to get a map set together for this trip, and need to find maps for St Petersburg. Any Ideas????

Where do you live? What other cruises have you taken? We'll find someone you know!

We are in South East London so must be pretty close to Karen but Dad and I are Disney cruise virgins so won't know anybody from other cruises.

It seems that everyone on this cruise has cruised with someone else on this cruise before. Is there anyone that doesn't know any person that is on this ship?

I believe I too am in the group that hasn't met any of you kind folks, but hope to change all that at Mousefest. I know I was on the same cruise as Michelle2, so we may have met?

I have a GPS, but don't believe it will help you out with St. Petersburg? I only have the Canada, US maps on it.

So the Christmas lights are up, and Kirstyn and I are off to see Bolt in a half hour! Can't wait to see the movie. It looks great! Last night we saw the stage production of Chorus Line! Great play. Theater is my other love, second only to Disney.

With a little research I learned that GPS units were a big no no in Russia, so no street maps are readily available. This ban was lifted about 2 years ago, so maybe by 2010, Garmin might have something out there.

I did load all the cities for the repo and this cruise oin a map set.

Also have a hard time finding Peru maps fro next year. I do have a world map, nautical charts, North America and Europe maps. World map worked well in Tanzania, as there were not that many roads.

St Petersburg sounds like a very interesting city, but I get the feeling we will be stuck with DCL excursions.

I had read that TomTom maps of Eastern Europe unofficially include some of Russia, not sure how accurate that is

We also have never met anyone on this cruise yet, although that will all change in the next two weeks as we are meeting Maz in WDW May also bump into a few other people.

I do think its wondeful that a lot of people have been on a cruise before with somebody else on this cruise! Looks like a fun bunch!

We were just doing the happy dance!
We just got our confimation for the concierge level savanna view @ AKL! Which I'm happy because now we can book the Sunrise Safari! We are still on wait list for the chef's table @ V&A, but that's okay. We will be in WDW from the evening of Jan 26th via the morning of Feb 1st.

The group going to the Outer Banks for Thanksgiving - that sounds wonderful! We excanged our time share for a week in June next summer. We are staying in Kitty Hawk.

I have a Garmin as well. Can you just go to their website and download current maps? Is there a charge for it? Just wondering. I know there are some new streets in my town that are flagged as fields on my GPS. I get the "Recalulating" message everytime I drive on them
