Some help me please :flower3: ......I am a bit confused and obviously I want to book asap on Tuesday so can anyone confirm if what I am thinking is right please.

I have registered for a quote with DU but if I was to book through disneycruise.com it would be the same price as DU?

If so am I right in thinking that I can transfer my cruise to DU and still get the onboard credit?

How can you transfer the cruise from Disney to DU & are there other benefits? (Apart from the obvious credit)

:confused3

You can do this either way, Claire - whichever way you feel more in control. The up-side of booking via the DCL website is the half-price deposit thing they've got going on at the moment. You can then transfer to DU and will get their super-duper OBC. Or you can sit back, relax and let DU do it all for you. Just don't book with both as it drives the tier-pricing up...

I'm not sure that any cruise I've ever booked thro' DU has been cheaper BUT I often book suites and they've been superb in managing to get their hands on one of those for me without me having to overly exert myself... It's hard to chill but I'm out on Tuesday afternoon and I'm already stressing about getting hold of DVC Member Services to book the last Med cruise so I'm happy to rely on DU for this cruise...

How quickly will DU contact us if successful in getting our preferred choice? I am at work until 5pm on Tuesday so by the time I get home it will be about 6pm (collecting car as in the garage Mon-Tues).

Claire ;)

I can't remember - this is only the 2nd time I have booked on opening day... :scared1:

OK I've just checked my old emails and I can see I heard from DU at 5.10pm (GMT) on the opening day with details of my quote. I'm pretty sure I only contacted them at around 2pm-ish so not bad really... :thumbsup2

Thats good to hear that contact is by email initially.

It's always via email, Claire. That's how they do business - some people hate it but personally I love it! You pay your deposit/final payment via the DU website and email your designated DU TA with any queries/special requests...

When it's time to book excursions, spa ressies, Palo etc, you go direct to the DCL website using a DCL reference number that'll be on your personalised Client Services area of the DU website... It's all very straightforward! :goodvibes

Abso-flamin-lutely! It's very cool for us this side of the pond. :thumbsup2

I'm already tense enough about Tuesday - it's looking like I'm going to have to let DH contact DVC Member services :scared1: as I'm on my way to Uni at the time this all kicks off! I'll have write him a script - I just don't want him to get it wrong... :headache: :faint:

For our Panama Canal Repo this year I had an email just before going to bed over here Claire, and that was after their horrendous day trying to book. I'm thinking this Tuesday would be easier for them, though there are many more different cruises to book.

I like all of the names so everyone else can decide.

I'm off in a few minutes to watch my team fall apart again. At least it will be a day with friends and the weather is great! I will check tonight to see what name we have deemed ourselves.

Thanks Karen. I think I might book direct with Disney and then transfer it to DU. As I am not sure what stateroom we will go for (price depending) so at least I can book online myself and decide there & then. :thumbsup2

I definately wouldn't book with both....do people do that? Why?

Has it been announced what time bookings will start on Tuesday?

Bookings open at 8 am Est.

Gydell, have a great time at the game. Good luck!!!! We're off this week, so I can actually breathe this weekend.:lmao:

Speaking of names: one of the other cruises is Pounds to Rubles: Mickey Invades the Baltic Sea.

Right now that's the only one I can find that has a name and I can only find three of the four Baltic cruises.

So if we wanted to From Russia with Mickey we could still do that.

Morning from Washington State!

Yes Emily we can breathe this week. Although after laast weeks performance on the field I bet the players are running around the stadium all day lol

Come on, Tuesday!

Oh, and Kevin said what about something in the name like
Meeska Mouska Mickey Mouse? Although we about died when I read A Kick in te Baltics
Hilarious!
