What am I supposed to send you, I think I missed it? :lmao: Will do on Tuesday or sooner if I ever hear from IC.

Hi all!
Getting closer to booking time!

Sue those are great tips! I am figuring for 300 bucks a shore excursion for both Kevin and I per port. I figure if some are a little less, some will be a little more and we will break even.
Kevin and I cycle and we would love to do some cycling around the ports. Copenhagan is one of the bike friendly cities in our cycling magazine. So fun!

Any word from IC? DVC? I'm getting anxious! We are shooting for a Cat 11 deck 7 aft room.

Google Copenhagen bicycle tours and you will get several tour operators
I looked in visitcopenhagen and found Bicycle Safari and Copenhagen Tours

the 4boons (or at least 3 of us) hope to do this cruise and would love to cycle in Copenhagen.

Hope we get the chance to meet y'all

I see we have some cyclers around! KEWL!

My husband and I drive truck across country and we have 2 bikes on our top bunk. Getting them in and out of the truck is like putting together a puzzle and we get strange looks when we pull them out to ride but its totally worth it. We are trying to ride in all 48 states, so far we have 13. We collect magnets to put on our fridge in the truck of each state we have ridden in. I guess after 2010 we will have to add a few more magnets though! I have promised Kevin we can do 3 bike excursions on this cruise. He's so easy to please

Welcome to all newcomers!

We are wanting to go and looking at this date...have not finalized it all yet...but this is the one we are thinking will work.....

We did the Med cruise and did not do ANY Disney excursions...but we had 23 in our group...plus added a few more from the Disboard and ended up doing our own excursions. So fun, we had our own big coach bus with great tour guides!!! And we got to see so much more than anyone else....the tour guide was like, you do realize you are trying to combine 3 tours into 1?? And we said yep, but that is what we want to do. I think it ended up costing us each about $50 per person per port...and we did many of the same things as the Disney Excursions. For example, at Naples, went to Pompeii, climbed to the top of Mt. Vestivius and drove the Amflia Coast....and on Mt. Vestivius...we got to yell "Dude" into the crater and were so thrilled to hear it back!!!! You can imagine...I had a group of 13 teenagers!!!! But we did that all in one day...just one of those is usually a tour that Disney would provide, we did 3 of them. And in Rome it was the same story...so I know from personal experience you can do a lot more going with a private tour company!!!!

As for the boat waiting for Disney tours...this is true..but if you have a big enough group..they wait for you as well. When we did Florence/Pisa...we went to Florence, saw Michelangelo..paid to actually go into the museum...we also then went to Pisa and climbed the tower...now both of those are things you could NOT have done on a Disney tour. When we were in Pisa, and actually everwhere we went, we saw Disney Tours...so you can judge if you need to get going or not!!! If you see a Disney bus...just follow it!! Or at least make sure you leave before them!! hahahaha...

Anyway, funny story on the Florence/Pisa day...we did see the disney crew...got on our bus and started back to the port way before them. It was a tethering port so you have to take a ferry back to the boat. Well...we ended up getting into really bad traffic and the last ferry was about to leave. I knew we had the disney people behind us though...but still, we were all freaking out, worried we would not make the boat. The tour guide happened to know the ferry boat operators and she called them and told them to wait for us..but we still were freaking out. When we got even somewhat close to the port, we got out of the bus in the middle of traffic...all 26 of us....the 23 in our group all wearing green tshirts....we RAN for the ferry dock....I mean you should see the pics...hilarious. Anyway, we got on the ferry that was waiting for us and they took off. Even after we got back to the Magic...another two ferries brought both Disney cruise tours people back and others. I got to talking to someone about this on the boat and they told me they would have waited for us because we were such a big group. Not sure if that would really happen or not...but that is what they said. We do know for sure that at one port someone missed the boat...and they brought her out in a small boat and as the Magic was sailing away, the scooped her up in a net thing and somehow got her onboard!!! My son and his friends were up on deck watching the whole thing totally hoping at our next port that they would be the one missing the boat....not something I would recomend...but for one or two people..it might be fun?????????!!!!!???? I have no clue what the cost was for this woman...but whatever she bought on her shopping trip, I sure hope it was worth it...

Anyway, this will be our 3rd disney cruise and I can not wait....I love sailing with Disney!!! And on the Magic...it just is magical. This capitals tours one looks just amazing...cant wait.:cheer2:

Love your Little Mermaid idea - what about something like Mickey Meets the Mermaid - Baltic Cruise 2010...?

Taking the Mouse (or Magic) to Moscow...
Yeah I know it's a stretch but I like the alliteration... :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

I love both these ideas. Also like the idea of Areil seeing the Little Mermaid statue with flounder and Sebastien both looking confused.

 to all the people I haven't met yet!

I'm Monica (will be celebrating my 40th :scared1: on this cruise) - hopefully travelling along w/ dear friends Jackie & Connie (having a slumber party to save $)

I'll be :scared1: scared with you. I'll be 3 months from my 50th birthday on the boat. I always hate those scary "T" years, Like Thir-T, Four-T, and  Fif-T

to ride in 48 states sounds like a great goal.

Yep, it keeps us busy!
So far we have ridden in (no particular order)
Missouri
California
Idaho
Montana
Utah
Illinois
Indiana
Michigan
Texas
Alabama
Minnesota
Georgia
Florida

Hope to add more soon, we have just been so busy with work lately. No fun. Work gets in the way of everything
;)

Great ideas on the names, BTW. Kevin and I like the Mermaid/Mouse idea! How cute!

Oh, and I will be celebrating my 29th birthday June 10th, 2010. Hopefully in London :)

& she needs luck why????

When I was 16 I picked up 2 guys on the beach on Martha's Vineyard... They were driving a red Renegade and I had 2 hamburgers... :rotfl2:

:confused3 You get everywhere!!! So, are you 'thinking' about this cruise too?;) :lmao:

Glad to see so many familiar 'faces'

Let's see who gets what this Tuesday

Hi.

I can't see the pic right now... but I'm guessing it's about the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen???

How about something with "Part of Your World" in the title...

Just a thought... even though I'm not goin on this one... :rolleyes1

I have to admit I still like 'Mickey meets the Mermaid' the best so far. We will have to have a poll.

I think we should do a poll. :thumbsup2 I haven't come up with many but here's my contributions....

For all you Bond fans out there...."From Russia with Mickey"

"We shall go to the Bal-tics"

I will keep thinking.

I think one of the other cruises has got 'To Russia with Mouse' or something!!!

I am estimating $11,000 + taxes and fuel surcharges for the 2 of us in a Cat 6 - not getting the first tier.

Is it worth that? It isn't much less for a Cat 7. I guess we could not have a balcony, but I would like one if poss.

Attention - When you get your rooms booked or know you're on the ship then pm me with the names in your group and the ages you will be when we sail. Don't forget to let me know if you have a cat. & room # or are in a lifeboat!

Monica I think I have control of the situation now.

Will Do!!!!! :thumbsup2 :lmao: :goodvibes

That sounds fab! We're hoping to do the 10 night Med cruise in September 2010 so I might have to pick your brains (if you don't mind of course) about how you booked the non-DCL tours...

It really IS going to be awesome... :thumbsup2
