More than happy to help with the$$$$.
We are doing the B2B, there is a separate thread for it, which is much calmer than this one, come on over and check it out (I would post a link, but I am very computer challenged)
Thank you! Do you happen to know what the thread is titled?
Scott posted a link to it at the top of this page.
Quick question: Do you guys wear the lanyards around the ship? I hate to be a party pooper, but we have a ton of these things and never wear them. On our ABD trip last month the guides gave them out the first night and not one of the 32 in the group ever wore theirs. They even gave out a new pin each day to put on it. But still no one wore them. But if everyone wants to do this, I will donate to the cause. I just don't think you will ever see Steve or me wear one. I guess I could hang them from our fish or somewhere on the door.
I hope that doesn't make anyone mad. The only time I wear lanyards is when I am forced to at a conference or such.
These lanyards are nothing like the regular DCL ones. The are very thin and soft with our "cruise name" printed on them. I hate necklaces but these I never even know I have it on. Gives you somewhere for your key and also anyone on the disboards knows who you are since your name is also there. You would not put pins on it, pins are too big. Some people chose not to wear them. It is your choice.Quick question: Do you guys wear the lanyards around the ship? I hate to be a party pooper, but we have a ton of these things and never wear them. Welcome! This will be Jamie's graduation present from high school also! She graduates on June 3 (hopefully, I'm crossing my fingers). We will fly out the morning of the 4th, to get to Barcelona in time to get on the ship on the 5th headed to Dover! I'm crossing my fingers that graduation is on the 3rd and not the 4th! I know there is no way we can miss high school graduation.
I checked flight schedules on Delta for going from Salt Lake City to Barcelona, and we can definitely make it. Also, Salt Lake City does have a direct flight each day (right now at least) to Paris, so we could always hit that flight. When I was at the airport last month taking a flight to Orlando (imagine that), they gate agent was trying to get 2 volunteers to take a bump for $1,200 each to fly to Paris the next day. I was wishing I was on that flight so I could have scored the $1,200!
Anyway, I'll be using FF miles, so I'll book immediately as the booking window opens next year. It seems so far away!
This is like a reunion cruise!
Who wants to do lanyards? Where's Ken and Kelly when we need them? I will definitely contribute but there is no way anyone would want what I could come up with!
Tammy - I send you lots of prayers!! Looking forward to meeting you and your family on the cruise. You are amazing!![]()
All - I do not mind coordinating the lanyards and possibly silicone bracelets for the trip. I will need help (finanacially and getting them to the port).
It will be a blast....hope we do not run into the scooter lady....![]()
It hasn't even started. It will probably start in the Spring, according to the DA. Of course, that depends on the DA and his decision about whether or not he decides to pursue the death penalty. If he goes that route, it will take a very, very long time to prosecute.
For those not familiar, my husband was shot and killed in a robbery in Feb of this year at the restaurant where he worked. He was 41.
In August, one of my coworker's husband was riding his bike and was struck by a car and killed. He was 51. She and I are close to the same age, both have two minor children and work in the same academic college and have lost our husbands six months apart. There may very well be a trial over her husband's death, but she has not talked about this to me, I am just guessing.
If nothing else, I have learned that your whole life can change in an instant. And, your whole life can be gone in an instant. I am going to try my best to enjoy my life and my kids and make memories that will last their lifetime. In twenty years and thirty years from now, I want them to look back and say, "Remember that cruise we took with Mom to Europe....."
My DH's brother lives very close to Stockholm so I will be contacting him to meet up with us that day of the cruise if he is able.

I will personally throw her overboard if she acts like she did on the PC!!!:rotfl2
Rethinking that - we could steal her battery!!!:
she would not notice.....she got along better than half the people on the cruise....
Book quickly! I used Delta miles for the Med trip last year and it was a nightmare. I was trying for business class though, so that might make a difference. DM and I called each morning for about a week before we finally got something somewhat close to what we wanted.
