While a B2B would be nice, I'm just thrilled to be on this one. This was the one that interested me the most. Couldn't pass up the opportunity to go to Germany.

Didn't your son get to spend some time with Mike Super during the cruise? I remember vaguely talking with my friend Karen and she and I talked to Mike Super about it.

He did get to talk to him for a few minutes. I think it is something that my son will remember for the rest of his life. It made him feel special. Thanks for helping make that happen. Once again, YOU ROCK. :worship:

We are on a B2B. Is anyone else?

Are you taking the cruise from Barcelona to Dover before the Baltic? That would be great. Unfortunately, I won't have enough vacation time in 2010. Steve has a couple of business trips in 2009 and 2010 that wives are "encouraged" to go on. I'm sure not complaining. I get to go to great places like Marco Island and Palm Springs for free. And the best thing about those trips is that the company is hosting agents and we just have to entertain some of the agents and their spouses at dinner. The days are on our own and they have great excursions to choose from like deep sea fishing and golfing.

Yes, we are taking the cruise from Barcelona to Dover right before the Baltic cruise. We originally just booked the Baltic but we LOVE the Disney boats so much we decided why not book the Barcelona to Dover! Glad you could get time off for this special Baltic cruise! ;)

The seven night Barcelona to Dover is reasonably priced really. I am betting that many of the people taking this cruise will be doing B2B's. Same with the eight night. I am also thinking that of all the cruises, these two plus the TAs are the most likely to discounted later.

Day 1 Dover, England — 5:00 p.m.
Day 2 At Sea — —
Day 3 Oslo, Norway 8:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
Day 4 Copenhagen, Denmark 9:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
Day 5 Warnemünde, Germany (Berlin) 8:00 a.m. 8:30 p.m.
Day 6 At Sea — —
Day 7 St. Petersburg, Russia 11:30 a.m. —
Day 8 St. Petersburg, Russia — 10:30 p.m.
Day 9 Helsinki, Finland 9:45 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
Day 10 Stockholm, Sweden 7:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
Day 11 At Sea — —
Day 12 At Sea — —
Day 13 Dover, England 8:00 a.m. —

If you picked early dining, the only days that might conflict are Warnemunde and St. Petersburg. For all other ports, you have to be back on the boat long before dinner.

Hope that helps everyone decide on early/late!

Sue

Where do we fly out of once we get back to Dover? I'll be flying into Barcelona for the back to back but need to figure out the best way to get back. Is Paris far from Dover in case we want to do DLP?

Tammy - Is the trial over? I hope everything went the way you wanted.

It hasn't even started. It will probably start in the Spring, according to the DA. Of course, that depends on the DA and his decision about whether or not he decides to pursue the death penalty. If he goes that route, it will take a very, very long time to prosecute.

For those not familiar, my husband was shot and killed in a robbery in Feb of this year at the restaurant where he worked. He was 41.

In August, one of my coworker's husband was riding his bike and was struck by a car and killed. He was 51. She and I are close to the same age, both have two minor children and work in the same academic college and have lost our husbands six months apart. There may very well be a trial over her husband's death, but she has not talked about this to me, I am just guessing.

If nothing else, I have learned that your whole life can change in an instant. And, your whole life can be gone in an instant. I am going to try my best to enjoy my life and my kids and make memories that will last their lifetime. In twenty years and thirty years from now, I want them to look back and say, "Remember that cruise we took with Mom to Europe....."

My DH's brother lives very close to Stockholm so I will be contacting him to meet up with us that day of the cruise if he is able.

So sorry about your friend's dh. You have had a year from h... I am sorry that the trial process is so slow. You are doing a great job with your kids. I know that you are on a long slow road to moving forward, but my prayers are still with you.

I'm so glad you decided to go on the Panama Canal Cruise this last May. I know you made memories on that cruise that will last forever! I'm sure the European cruise will be the same! Sorry the process is so slow, I'm sure it doesn't help with being able to move forward.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the thoughts and prayers. We are doing the best we can. I am currently taking medication for depression which helps. I really crashed after the PC repo. But I do thank all of you guys that were on this cruise for helping to make it so special.

I am really looking forward to this cruise. I can't tell my brother that I booked it yet. He told me that it was too much money and he vetoed it. LOL. I have been getting his opinion on a lot of things to make sure I am not making big mistakes. I think he is thinking that this applies to my vacation. I am like Chris Farley on SNL as the "Gap" girl when it comes to my vacations "Back off!!"

Wow Tammy! Doesn't your brother know it is Disney :thumbsup2

This will be a great trip for you. A new adventure!

Debbie
