Cat 11 on 1st day of booking - two adults - with ins & transfers $8383.44
Same Cat today online $8703.44
My bookings with TA applying 10% OBB discount $7703.44

So thats an $1000.00 base difference, wow....... but a $320.00 difference for me.

I was hoping also that they come down as we get closer to 2010..

Hi Tammy - good question on what the onboard credit was - it's not listed on my reservation and I forgot what the brochure said. I'll call tomorrow and check and let you know.
Randi

We have $600 with DU, which is the same amount as the Repo, but for 12 days instead of 15.

:surfweb:

GM :coffee:

It is chilly here in Central Florida presently 42 going up to 63 ;)

Happy Birthday and Anniversay to all who are celebrating :dance3:

 :grouphug: pixiedust: to everyone who is going to need it today

Have a great Thursday

We got the $600 OBC from DU as well :)

Surprised to see prices have gone UP

Claire ;)

If DCL didn't sell out at the "low" prices then raising them,IMO, won't help sell the rooms.

The June 24th and the July 18th cruise prices have not gone up yet. Guess we're just lucky, we're getting a bargain!

Good Morning Cruisers!

It has turned cold here, after mid 60’s yesterday, high today will be 30 degrees, with freezing fog, freezing drizzle and snow – sounds beautiful doesn’t it? :scared1:

We have booked on points, and they never seem to change, either up or down.

Have a great day everyone!

Lynn, occasionally they do offer point discounts on cruises. I know that they have for fall cruises off and on. And I could swear they did it for a few of the Med sailings. But if the prices are going up, it is unlikely they will do it for the Baltic cruises. The only thing I don't know is if they will reimburse you the points if they go down later. I guess we will have to watch and see, since we paid all in points too.

What, if anything, are you all doing right now to prepare for the cruise? Who is thinking about doing excursions on their own? What do you do to prepare for that? I'm anxiously waiting (probably for another year) to see what excursions DCL will offer and at what price. But I am afraid that we won't get quite the same experience I'm looking for if we do it on our own. I really want to have a great in-depth tour of each city. I'm hoping money won't be too tight that year.

Our oldest just informed me that she is getting married October of 2010! :scared1:

Since it's so early, I'm doing tenative planning, which means everything is subject to change.:lmao: Thinking about things I want to see and airfare possibilities. That's about it for right now.

Congrats on the wedding!

I have done a little research on a few of the independent companies exp in St Petersburg. Making list of most important things for me to see in each city and narrowing down hotels for before and after stays. We are planning on doing private tours so we can move at our own pace and see what we want to see. Some stops may be to get a cab for the day to take us around. We will not be doing DCL excursions unless there is something that we can not do any other way. DCL takes too long waiting for the group of people.

Not even thought about city tours yet, hopefully have 4 other trips before then to think about!!

Will probably start looking around spring/summer of next year.

Claire ;)

Welcome!

When you have time you can be added to the roster by emailing me at magicalbalticcruise@yahoo.com

You can include as much or as little information as you would like. You can also a include a photo at the e-mail address.

Glad to have you aboard!

Starting to get a bit chilly there! Little over 2 weeks to go till I arrive! But the high here today will be 32 degrees with snow squalls. Anything better than that will be fine.

Debbie
Thank you Debbie for the warm welcome and I will try to e-mail you soon when I am not up at 1am typing and having to get up at 5:30am. (info tends to be more accurate) I won't post weather reports from my area as I do not want to make everyone else angry at me until we actually meet.

Glad you're cruising with us again! We're on deck 2 also. It's going be different than deck 7 that's for sure but if everything works out ok then at least we're on the boat.

To be on the boat is the most important part, besides, I get my exercise running after the boys and going up and down stairs.

STEVE!

Hey man, nice to see you! Monica and I are 'tentative' for this cruise, as we will be looking at other lines (:scared1: ) when they release their rates for the summer of 2010. This one is a tad pricy as I'm sure you've noticed. Hope we get to cruise together again!

.

A TAD PRICY Jackie?? true, but for the boys well worth it. Look forward to seeing you and Monica again on the cruise.

Welcome to the group!!!!!

She doesn't mean that. She just keeps saying that for some crazy reason.:lmao:

Thank you, look forward to actually meeting.

Hi Steve and welcome. Hopefully we will still be on this cruise by the time it sets sail, and we can meet you all again.
Marilyn, this one is in your back yard, you will be there and we will be looking for you and John!

Good to "see" you again Steve - how are the boys doing?

Hi Monica, glad you had a good trip. Boys are doing very well, Dan is in the teenager grump stage (I want a car, I want more vacations, I want... (fill in the blanks)) He finishs school this Jan and I have to find him either a job or a day program; all while trying to keep my job too. I have faith.

I’ve been away too long and had a number of pages to catch up on.

Welcome! We are going to get along just fine!:drinking1

Eva, I think every bartender on the magic knows me on sight! And the DJ and the Rockin' Bar D cleaning crew at 2am,.... Look forward to a great time crawling with you.

Good Morning cruisers, finally got caught up after not getting to the boards yesterday! You were quite the chatty group yesterday!

:welcome: Steve and crew!

pixiedust: to all those on wait-lists for rooms!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi Lynn, I am guessing I am going to have a hard time keeping on my reading too. As for the "Lifeboat Crew" We were stuck in the lifeboats for a Cat8 GTY for the WB PC "Ship of Thieves" up to the 30 days prior. Then we got upgraded to a Cat5 Varandah. If I could I would do the same again, but I opted to take a room on the 2nd deck this trip.

Look forward to chatting more in the future, bed is calling me again.

Penny and I just signed up for this cruise. :cheer2: We were going to wait and see what sort of price we could get while on our April 2009 Tortola cruise, but were concerned that the price might go up/ship fills up.

This looks like a lively group; of course with Eva and CustardTart how could it not be.

Getting excited as Saturday starts our annual Thanksgiving at the Beach. We rent a beach house on the Outer Banks, NC and invite all the kids (and more importantly the granddaughters) for a week at the beach. One of our favorite times of the year.

The girls.

Looking forward to meeting you all and seeing Eva and Karen again.
