Good news on the air! We've done all the above except book air which I am hoping will come down in price some.
We were able to frequent flyer miles which helps alot. Has everyone figured out where they are staying in London yet?

That is our tentative plan.We are flying in just one day before and so we plan to stay at an airport hotel. I understand it's only about a 15-20 minute train ride into London. Then the next day all we have to do is hop on the DCL shuttle.
Hi all! I wanted to say hi before we head off for our our western carribean DCL. We're still on this one and we booked the LA to Vancouver and first Alaska cruise![]()
Have a great cruise!!!!
We're waiting for airfare to come down too. I priced a few options out this weekend. BA in premium economy was over $9K for 4 and Delta for tickets with the option to be able to use our miles to upgrade was over $14K for 4.It's ridiculous the premium you have to pay just to be able to have the option of upgrading. So that leaves either BA premium economy or Delta coach, no upgrade option.

I booked our airfare for three on BA when the rates first came out. I booked premium economy and the total was 3500 rt Atlanta to Heathrow. I purchased a one way from Heathrow to BCN which was around 400 dollars. I have a layover in Heathrow but since I booked the two legs separately, I might need it. The prices have gone up considerably since then. I know, I have to buy one more ticket for my BFF who is joining us for part of the trip.
I had looked at ATL's prices when they first opened up b/c originally BA wasn't showing anything for HSV to London (which I knew they had). ATL is waaayyy cheaper than flying out of HSV, but we'd have to drive about 3 hours each way to do that and it's not quite that much of a savings.
Yes, it will be quite a drive for us. But I like the fewest number of stops I can get within reason.
Either way we'll only have one stop. If we fly BA, it will be DFW, if we fly Delta it will be ATL. I can handle one stop, it helps to break it up a little bit. Plus, fewer stops means less chances they can lose your luggage.
Emily have you checked United? I found a flight from here that stops at Dulles and is a day flight! No overnight.Monica took it and said it was great.
We're staying at the Hilton Gatwick both before (2 nights) and after (1 night) the cruise. I've stayed there before and it's a nice hotel. This way we don't have to lug the luggage around on arrival. The trains are easy to catch and it's only about 30 minutes to London. I've been looking at transportation to and from the port and Disney's is looking pretty good. the cost is reasonable compared to private services - what's everybody else doing?
