Is there a way to post a PDF? I was planning on posting the final FE list as a PDF so everyone had a pretty copy to take with them.

A question for anyone who can HELP me!!! I am putting this on both REPO and 1st ALASKA threads.

I've started laying out clothes to pack for both the REPO and ALASKA cruises and I am stumped.

You guys out there... are you bringing any short sleeve polos? I don't know how to pack for Joe! Long sleeve shirts only? He has turtlenecks and long sleeved knit type pullovers for work, but they will really eat up the suitcase space. ;)

We've never had the heat on before in our staterooms only the AC! :rotfl2:

THANKS for ANY suggestions! :thumbsup2

Maybe... something like this

<a href=”path of file” > This will appear on the page to click to open pdf </a>

When I was in Alaska in 2004 there was heat wave :confused3...it was 90 degrees every day! Granted it was in June, but I was told that May was also unseasonably warm. I was very happy for the shorts I had packed! I also have been watching the average temps...I suggest we have to have clothing for a wide spectrum of temps and weather!

I am so all over that! It is 25 at night and 75 during the day...good grief!

Thank you Lynn - I appreciate your mentioning this...I know we are not the only folks that are travel companions only!!

HUH????? My drysuits TOGETHER do not weigh the same as my wetsuit! I have a 3mil wetsuit, and my drysuits are both very light....not insulated....so I have to wear insulation under either of them. Take a look at white water rafting gear...but I think we have had this disussion, right?

oh yea...no way is that happening! I got my *** kicked last night at work....no break, super sick people...go glad I am off tonight!

I am in the final push of my renvation!!! WOO HOO!!! The kitchen is done (except for the tile, I am hoping that the new order will be here by April 1), all the cabinets restocked...and it looks awesome! All the painting is done, I am now putting everything away...whew...

NOW I CAN FOCUS on my cruises!!! 25 days and counting!!!

Glad to hear renovation is nearly done! Now you might get some sleep!

I would pack long sleeved shirts with roll up sleeves in case it turns out warmer than we are all expecting! Short sleeved T-shirts that can be worn under button down long sleeved shirts for layers!

Hi all! Can I join you? This will be our first Alaskan cruise and we are so excited!!!!:banana::banana:

Diane

Welcome aboard - if you would like to be included in the free lanyards and name badges, I need the first names of everyone in your group.

Ken

When I did the Kitt Peak night obs program last month I picked up an awesome (powerful) laser pointer like the guy doing the program had. It should be great for pointing out some stars. And I picked up a smaller version of my star chart at my local latitude and another for the northern latitudes. Now if I can just locate those...wonder if they are still in my carry on? :)
Hi Rcostello1! I love the picture of your best buddies! What are their names? We have a standard doxie in a brown fur coat[Willie] and a mini-doxie[Scooby-doo] black and tan fur coat, that sure remind me of yours! Looking forward to meeting you guys, Karen and Ron

Thanks Lynn! The only buttondown shirts Joe owns are Hawaiian which he uses for cruising! :rotfl2: He's a pullover kind of guy! I'm really thinking for dinners. I'd hate for him to have to wear a jacket every night. It might be turtleneck time :thumbsup2

Thanks!

Thanks!

Back in 1993 when we did Alaska cruise in May it was unseasonably warm and was 80+ degrees, so we did not wear long sleeves or sweaters. However, the day we were in Glacier National Park it was cool but the cruise line had "warm" blankets out on deck for us all to wrap ourselves in. Hopefully, DCL will do the same.

I don't think Joe needs to wear a jacket each night, unless he gets cold all the time (like me). I always have to have a sweater!

I seem to recall DCL having blankets out on deck in the Baltic so I'm sure they'll do the same here. Maybe I should bring my Snuggie.:rotfl:

What are champagne girls?

Check page 99....it's fully described including pictures. If you would like to join us, let me know all the info that I requested. We currently have 49 ladies attending.

AND there will be NO men with furry bikinis......just ladies with tiaras and boas. hahaha.:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Hi Erik!

I did a super duper list a bit back with links to a lot of lists. CLICK FOR SUPER LIST I can also put the link to the Alaska FE on the main page of the REPO thread if that would help???

I just updated the main Repo Thread with the FE Lists for Both the REPO and the ALASKA cruise. Hope this helps!

I did see that...thanks...when you first posted it, though, I wasn't sure if you were linking it to the most recent post/list or just the most recent one prior to that post----so I wasn't sure if it would get updated. I see now that you are linking it to the most current list going...which is awesome! If you could put a link to it on hte main page of the repo thread, that would be stellar!

I'm so disorganized and lazy this trip that I really need it all at my fingertips or I know I'll never get it all done! LOL

I am going to have pictures with me...it looks awesome!! I will gladly brag!

Mine is already packed...figured it would be useful on the plane also!

I posted on the repo, but would like to add - consider synthetic materials - they are warmer, and very light. Stay away from cotton as an insulator...it doesn't!

I am getting together a pins 101 type meet for the 10 day cruise am on just before this cruise...would there be any interest in something like this on the Alaska cuise? I will also posted this on the repo cruise...

This is an informal meet to explore pin trading 101...kinda like Linda's scrapbooking thing...but also if any experieced traders are bringing books...we can trade!!!

PM or post if you are interested and I will start a (another!) list...

Cayla

Did you just book or just found us? If you have any questions, just ask. Some of us have been there before (Alaska) and almost all of us have been on DCL.:cool1:

42 days to go!!!

Thanks! We were originally scheduled for an August cruise, then we saw that kids cruise free during May so we decided to move it and save $4000. :cool1: :)
