north face denali jacket ?'s

Hi, I figured I would come here with my ?'s. My DDs told me that they would like North Face denali jackets for xmas. I was looking at some on ebay and they have both regular sizes and petite sizes. Do they come in petite sizes? How does the sizing run? I looked on the North Face site and they don't have petite sizes as a choice in sizing. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Both my DS & DD have these jackets but I have never seen petite sizes before. The girls version is cut a little slimmer but I know many girls at their school wear the boys version which is identical but a little fuller. (Better actually for layering clothing)

I'm not sure what age your DD's are but I found that these jackets run a little big. A small adult could easily get away with a childs XL and save some money.

On the budget board there was a thread recently with websites and stores having sales on these jackets.

You might want to check out www.backcountry.com or sierra trading post. They usually have good prices on the denali jackets.

They are great jackets, OP, and a jacket your DD's will have for a long time. Now remember if your DD's are still growing they are very expensive.....$165.00 something like that or at least that is what I paid the last time I bought them for my DS' and that was a few years back.

Every single college kid in the East has them. They come in so many colors as well.

My DS' have the vests as well as the jackets. Like the pp said, the girls jackets are slimming, have your DD's try them on in a store so that you can get the right size....esp if you are going the Ebay route....!!!

If your dds are petite, DEFINiTELY get them a child's size. It's much, much cheaper. My dd wore hers until she was a jr. in high school.

The North face khumbu jackets are very, very similar and only $80. That is what I got for my oldest daughter 2 years ago and now my other daughter wants one for Christmas. Don't wait--we had to get the one for the oldest in February because everyone was out at Christmastime. Check the dickssportinggoods.com site.
