I am SO sorry you are sick--that is completely miserable!! When we went last March, there was a virulent stomach virus in the national headlines. I bought Clorox Beach-Free hand sanitizer, and Germstar instant hand sanitizer. Those are supposed to kill more than normal hand sanitizer. We also bought a bottle of Lysol and first thing into the room, I went around and sprayed everything, especially light switches, remote, etc. I bought a pack of food service plastic gloves and we used them whenever we ate anything with our hands. We looked nuts, but I didn't care. I also put the TV remote in the hotel room in a plastic glove or in a Ziploc bag. It took airborne, Echinacea, etc. Oh, and we put Vaseline just inside our nostrils on the flight--I heard someone say Neosporin is great, too. I've also read that drinking lots of hot liquids helps kill germs before they can take over in your body, as does using warm saline nasal rinses (i.e. Neti-pot). I figure anything that doesn't have a negative side effect is worth trying. We had a 10-night vacation in the midst of the stomach flu hitting hard, and the only thing we caught was a cold that one of my daughter's came down with the last couple days. Thankfully that didn't stop us like a stomach bug does. My son did have a stomach thing when we were at DL (GCH) about 10 years ago, and the hotel did send up some OTC meds for him. Hope you get feeling better and the rest of your family stays healthy!
