Nooooo.....LTT Harbor Salmon

Ahhh....I am putting together a Disney Proposal Plan in an effort to convince my brother to PLEASE plan a trip to Disney and allow my nieces, also known as his daughters, to visit Walt Disney World.

I went to All Ears Net to print out menus from my favorite restaurants to allow him to see the diversity and appreciate the good deals available. When I printed out the Liberty Tree Tavern's Lunch menu my heart caught in my throat.

My FAVORITE meal at WDW, the meal I dream about, the meal I order at least twice each trip....Is gone.

The Fresh from the Harbor Salmon meal which boasted cider cured salmon served on griddled pumpkin bread is no longer on the menu. It has been replaced by a Salmon Club Sandwich. My delicate and might I admit dirty dream inducing salmon has been replaced with a sandwich featuring mayonaise. What kind of a monster puts mayonaise on salmon. I may cry, have a conniption fit, or need a glass of wine.

Ah, make it stop. Please, Please, Please someone tell me that the new menu posting is a misprint.

I was there in September and all was well with the Harbor Salmon.

Someone who is there, or has been there recently, please confirm or deny this horrible news.

I'm so sorry to tell you, but sad to say it's true.
This is one meal I look forward to every trip. I was dumb founded when I told the server I did not need the menu I knew exactly what I want. He broke the bad news and recommended the Salmon Sandwich. Mayo and Salmon do not go. I went with the pasta dish that I did enjoy.

Yes. sadly that salmon with the griddled pumpkin bread is gone. That's why I almost canceled my ADR for lunch there last week. But I'm so glad I went anyways because the new desset-ooey gooey toffee [something] is the best dessert. Next time, I'll just order an appetizer and lots of that dessert!

I had the same reaction when I saw they had removed my favorite salmon dish in all of WDW! Enough so that I crossed LTT off of my list of "must do" for the next trip!

Maybe we should start a petition

DisneyDeeva, I think you have a brilliant idea in reference to a petition. This meal was the highlight of my trip every year. Between the changes to the DDP and now this, I really feel like Disney is taking away my magic.

I am not a sweets person and the new DDP got rid of my appetizers, and now they kill off my favorite meal. The only way they could ruin my dining experience any more would be to pipe in Rap music. I am not ruling that out as a future "enhancement" for the Liberty Tree Tavern.

If they will do this, they will do anything.

It was our absolute favorite, too! We have ordered it many times since they first came out with it as a non-menu "special". Oh, well... at least they gave me the recipe. Maybe someday I'll make it!

I remember the recipe being fairly lengthy and I would have to hunt around to find it. If you can remember to bump this up in January I will take the time to do it. I am starting to pack today for the eight of us to go to WDW this weekend for the week (no small task). I truly just don't have the time right now. Just remember to give this a bump in in January.
