We are going back in the fall for MNSSHP
but we will be there the weekend after you.

I hope you can talk your mom into Kona. I have never been there, but I keep hearing about it and it sounds sooo good. Liberty Tree would be fun too though with the characters in their Halloween costumes.

That is a cute flat stanley story, my daughter did that in 2nd grade too. Her Flat Stanley went to PA to visit her aunt, with a road trip to NJ! He missed a trip to Europe by a few days. She brought him home the day before my dad & stepmom left Florida for their vacation.

Tea at the Grand Floridian sounds like a great mother daughter activity. It is on my wish list for sometime in the future.

Yeah, Only one of our friends' call her Miss Ellie (like from Dallas)....I have no idea why I decided to call her that...silly me...

Well, the first few days were pretty good. I was kind of bored in Buffalo. BUT...we had a meeting with the Playtex company yesterday and I was so excited because - are you ready for TMI? - I got free tampons!! 2 boxes of the suckers! And a bunch of sunscreen, wet ones wipes, kitchen gloves, a shirt and some other stuff. But I was definitely most excited about the tampons. Yes, I'm a dork.

THAT'S SOO COOL! One of my former students' father worked for 3M, and for Christmas one year my co-teacher and I each got this HUGE box (with scotch tape plaid wrapping paper) full of Scotch tape, scrubbies, sponges, doublestick tape, hooks, rubber gloves. I still have some of the stuff, it was soo cool!

I love the title change!

And you may have a Flat Stanley by the end of next week. We're having our Flat Stanley kick-off this week.

Yippee! We'll have such fun!

ah, nice title change That's funny that she got called Noonie and it stuck. It's funny how some nick names get started

I love Flat Stanley. I have to find my St. Thomas Pictures...I took him with me once...I love love love how it teaches the kids about the world around them (and the world "not so around them). I am very excited about the tea. She looked online and said "the tea looks kinda 'spensive!" I told her that it will be her very belated mother's day pressie...She deserves it after all she's been through...Right SkyGirl!?

I am not going to try to compete with the wonderful accounts of KatGarcia, ScottNy, nor Nicole726...but here are my pics from our lovely evening...

Noonie and I took the 3:10 train out of Ronkonkoma (about a 1 1/2 hr east of NYC. We arrived to Penn around 5:40. We then took the E train up to 53&5th and I swear we were in China...we took like 17 flights of stairs to reach the street. Sheesh! After a pleasant walk around 5th ave and 6th ave (we made a stop at the cigar shop on 6th for some apparently really nice tobacco for my step-dad, I have NO idea! ) We finally reached..

The MOTHERSHIP!​

Noonie and I walked around the shop for a few minutes, then I stepped outside and saw Kat and KC! (They are SOO cute!) KC was chatting with an old friend, so Kat and I chatted until CamelotCats, ScottNY, and KimAshton showed up.

We did some shopping and called MeMom...she wanted a special present...so we were going back and forth...we finally decided on a Statue of Liberty Minnie (so cute!)
