The nook (higher priced) is probably a better device - but Barnes and Noble just isn't there with their media .... they are about equal on books but Amazon blows them out of the water on apps, music, and movies. Barnes is relying on 3rd party providers (Netflix, Hulu, Pandora etc) to handle most of the media demand. The people at the android forums will get to work rooting the newest nook tablet, I don't expect it will take them long.

I wish the Kindle Fire had a larger data storage capacity or an sd card slot.

I agree with you completely.
I'm surprised NT has double the storage of KF but I think Kindle is relying on their cloud extra storage and lower price to even the playing field.

If you check CNET now they say:

"While our current favorite models are presented below, we strongly recommend that potential buyers hold off on any purchases until we can evaluate the entire new Kindle line."

Not that they're the final word on all things reader/tablet/etc, but it will be interesting to see what they have to say in the next few weeks.

Its just sooo confusing to figure out what to buy!! I wish they would all just stop coming out with new stuff! Just about the time I figure out what to get, they bring out new stuff!

I guess I am slow on the market. I am just getting used to my original Nook (eInk)! Although the last vacation we took, I brought along my Nook, iTouch, laptop and cell phone. I decided it was probably time to get a tablet.
