Nonswimmers at DC

in my group there were non swimmers and the dolphin took them on a round trip ride ;)

My DS was 2 and LOVED floating around the lazy river too! - oh and his favorite was the bird area

We went to Discovery Cove and my Mum who cannot swim came along with us. She has no confidence in the water so did not do the dolphin swim. We all really wished that she had as she would have really enjoyed it and been absolutely fine with the interaction as it was in shallow water and the dolphin will come into the shallow water and pull you out (like it did with me). That part is only a couple of minutes of the verall experience.

Despite this she really enjoyed the day, we had an early swim so she took pictures of this. We then went for a wander and she enjoyed looking in the Stingray pool with all the colourful fish that were in there. We then spent a good bit of time in the aviary feeding the birds and taking photographs. We also relaxed on the loungers and watched the dolphins some more from the shore.

We then of course had our very nice lunch as well as drinks and ice cream.

What I am trying to say is that while I would now recommend that everybody does the dolphin interaction swim even if they would not normally swim. But even if they don't it is such a lovely place that they would enjoy it regardless. :)

My youngest was 6 last year and can only swim with a noodle, she did fantastic and we had trouble keeping her out of the water, the only part she struggled with was the river where they have the waterfall you have to go under, she was a little freaked by that, but there is a staff member close by to help if you have trouble with the current.
