Non US Entertainment Card and Hojos

You may already be aware of this but I wasn't.

I emailed Jennifer from Hojos yesterday to enquire about the use of Entertainment Cards from outside the US (we have one that came with the Adelaide Entertainment Book). It turns out you can use an Entertainment Card from Australia rather than having to purchase one from the US. I would say this is also the case for New Zealand travellers.

Anyway, I thought I would pass on this piece of information for all those travelling from outside of the US who are looking to stay at Hojos!

Terrific! I knew that Canadian cards could be used, but I actually didn't even know that countries other than Canada and the US had the Entertainment Book!

You can order one online by going to www.entertainment.com

I bought the book specifically for DL but I have honestly found about 90 other uses for it!!

Needless to say, I LOVE the entertainment book!

The Entertainment Book is a book of discount coupons that can be used for a whole range of things such as 2-for-1 dinners etc. You can buy one for the area you live in or the Anaheim area. It also comes with an Entertainment Card which you can use at Hojos (and I am sure other places) to get their Entertainment Rate.

If you check out the Entertainment Book website and type in the location you want it will give you examples of the types of discounts you can get!

Here is the current availability for the EC rate from the Howard Johnson's Innsider Website.

If one does not find the date (s) that one may be needing or wishing, please do call the Hotel directly. Not the 800 number, for they will not know what you are referring to. Call directly and ask if your exact dates are available. For sometimes, a date will show as being available on their site, but then it is not, or visa versa. Also one can book (No charge at the time) a date (s) that are not available at the time for the EC rate and if they open up for such, then ask to have it switched to that rate. That will be no problem.
Also, one does not need the card to make a booking, but rather will need it at the time of check in.
One can order one of the cards from an E-bay seller. I have read that the cost is @$5.00 USD.

Hey Molly, the other books are not from "Entertainment" Publications. We only have books in the US and Canada. No merchant reps or sales reps in any other country either. But if Hojo takes them, the other books must have an agreement with hotels.com like we do. OR they might not know that they are different.

So glad to hear it! We are having our national sales conference this week and it's always great to know I work for such a great company. Our mission statement is to "become the most loved discount publication". Seems it's working!
