HA! that was a mouthful wasnt it??

I've always worn flip flops to Disney - my feet get really hot and Im not a sneaker lover, at all..

I've heard you guys talking about how much everyone loves their Keens, and I went to the shoe store over the weekend and I couldnt get my foot into one...its too wide....:headache:

and honestly, I dont really like the look of a Keen, but Im at the point where I think that comfort is going to win over "style"....:lmao:

anyhoo....where can I get a "wider" walking sandal like a Keen??

what else is out there??

THANKS!!!

I know these aren't really walking sandals but I  love  my Fit Flops. I have really big feet (11w) and they are by far the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned. I wear them all the time. Hope that helps.

Try Merrells or Nike. Tevas might work, too, but they tend to be more seriously "crunchy-looking."

If you cannot wear women's Keens, you might try the Men's sizes; they are wider, though all Keens tend to run small for size.

Agreed! I live in my Fit Flops!

Fit Flops Rock!

Try on several styles though. My feet feel great in one style, but not in others. Sadly, the Mickey ones don't fit right :upsidedow

I love my Nike 'Comfort Thong' flip flops. They have a gel pad at the bottom. They are the only shoes I wore for 7 days at Disney, and we were walking in the parks all day/every day.

I have a couple pairs of Merrell sandals. In particular, the Merrell Agave - LOVE them. Purchased them before an 18-day trip to Italy so I'd have some nicer looking shoes (brown leather) that would still be comfy. They are still my go-to shoes for comfort, and I walked all around Disney last fall with them.

I second the Nike! I have worn these sandals on our last three trips and am always comfortable. To me, it's like walking on clouds. :)

In getting men's shoes, I find that the arch is in the wrong place. Wearing an 11, some shoe sales people will suggest a men's shoe in sneakers or hiking shoes, but they just don't fit me properly.

Have you looked at any Columbia Sandals? I have a pair of flip-flop type Columbias that are seriously the most comfortable shoes I've ever had on my feet. They are better than my New Balance runners even... And as the tan lines on my feet will show, I wear these a LOT!

Reefs. My sister got them for me one year and they finally wore out. Replacing them I tried the Fit Flops, Skechers (don't remember their line), tevas, the not-as-ugly crocs, nikes, merrells, -- ultimately got another pair of Reefs. LOVE THEM.

i have a fantastic pair of ecco which are really feminine and super comfortable. I have a pair of keens which are great but i feel like my feet sweat buckets in them and they stink! I do love merrel and i am thinking that my next pair may be a pair of earth sandals because they were so comfy but a little more pricey than my keens. try looking at www.sierratradingpost.com for really good prices on all the brands mentioned here. You may find something you like.

I am not a huge flip flop wearer, other than to the beach or pool. I am always much more comfy in sneakers, due to the fact I have to wear orthotics in my shoes.

The Nike comfort sole flip flops are the only ones I have ever been able to wear for long periods or walking without my feet killing me.
