I am not planning on getting married anytime soon... but have mused on the idea of having a Disney Wedding when I do, and was curious if anyone has seen or has had a non traditional wedding at Disney, or more importantly a non traditional wedding dress? I would love to do a full Victorian Wedding dress next time and was wondering if anyone had ever done that before? Thanks!

Yes! I remember one wedding where the bride, groom and wedding party wore medieval costumes, and Disney loves to show the picture of the Haunted Mansion/Nightmare Before Christmas groom and bride with fake blood on her dress! :rotfl: Some couples even dress up like Disney characters. So I would say your full Victorian wedding gown may look downright traditional in comparison! :thumbsup2

wow thanks! That picture is so cool! I will have to add them to my follow list!

We're doing a mix of traditional and video games in our wedding:

Not sure if anyone knows Gears of War but I will be wrapping my "Cog Tags" (think dog tags) around the base of my flowers. We're bringing our xbox controllers for photos

Oh, and expect to see us cut the cake with (yes, this is actually mine):

and the DF's Halo Plasma Sword

I'm sure we'll raise some eyebrows, but hey, it's our day and if you want a Victorian Wedding, then by all means (and the GF already has a Victorian feel to it!) :)

My husband would love your wedding MsEsty! We used Bioshock as color inspiration for our wedding, actually.

I still had what I would consider a "traditional" wedding in a lot of ways, but everything was done in a 1930s Art Deco style. The guys had top hats and morning coats, I changed into a silver lame gown for the reception, the BMs had bias-cut evening gowns with fur-trimmed coats and muffs. I made most of the garments, including my ceremony gown, so it really wasn't a normal style either.

If it wasn't for the fact that you can't have outside photographers in the park we would have seriously considered a 1890s wedding in France.

Yeah, I agree with all the above posts. You can have any wedding style or theme you want, it's your day.

I'm doing a country rustic theme for my wedding.

Speaking as one of the gay guys that got married at the Adventurers Club, I don't think you could get much less traditional than our wedding! :rotfl2: And I say "Go For It!"

Make is all about you, and create a unique event that reflects what you want.

Do that, and your guests will tell you how wonderful your wedding was! :woohoo:

And where can I find pictures of that event???
