Non-Traditional Pizza

I like to substitute traditional red sauce for pesto, add anything on hand to the top and it's quite yummy!

My husband makes a great pizza with roast beef, swiss cheese, horseradish sauce and carmelized onions.....

Wow - now I want it for dinner!

Great thread~my kids could have pizza everyday of the week so I'm going to have to give these a try.
Keep the recipes coming.

p.s I've made philly cheesesteak pizza

I LOVE bbq chicken pizza!

Cook up some chicken, in strips or small chunks...I like to cook it on the stove in a skillet with carmelized onions....

Dump chicken and onion on crust, top with bbq sauce, cilantro, sometimes garlic and cilantro. Yum!!! :thumbsup2

Taco pizza - it's big here in Iowa, don't know about anywhere else. My friends from New Jersey think it's a total abomination but hey, it's tasty.

start with a regular hamburger/onion pizza then when it comes out add shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheddar and crushed taco doritos, add taco sauce if you want.

Ahhh, taco pizza is my favorite!! :goodvibes I get it from Happy Joe's though, and they make it a little different: crust, then refried beans, then hamburger, cheese, lettuce, Dorito's, then taco sauce. :lovestruc

I'm also a big fan of BBQ chicken pizza and Buffalo chicken pizza. Yum!

I ended up making cheeseburger pizza and it was not a hit. I found the recipe on RecipeZaar.com. It had a 5 star rating so I had high hopes. After eating it, DH said it was ok, but he likes my bbq chicken pizza a lot better.

One of my husband's favorite pizzas is a thin crust brushed with olive oil, topped with proscuitto, crumbled goat cheese, shaved parmesean cheese, salt and pepper, and then drizzled with truffle oil when it comes out of the oven.
