I've been reading over the snack threads and it looks as if everything will be very sweet. Given that the TS dinners will come w/ dessert (and also sodas for the kiddos), I'd like to find something less suggary, but still tasty for snacks.

We will be staying 5 nights on the regular dining plan. Visiting the parks w/a hopper ticket - so we will be all over.

Thanks!

My favorite snack is at the Yak & Yeti CS in AK: chicken fried rice or egg rolls.
Other goodies though are the hummus at the Mara food court at AKL, biscuits and gravy at POFQ food court, the soups at the Norwegian bakery, the ham & cheese croissant at the French bakery, and the fruit bowls at the various stands and food courts. Sort of sweet but still good ate the hot coated nuts at the stand on the right as you enter World Showcase in Epcot.

Jalapeno cream cheese pretzels! I've gotten them in Epcot and Animal Kingdom and they're so yummy.

I've taken over the 2011 Confirmed Snacks thread and there are quite a few non-sweet snack options. Recently added, for example, are steamed broccoli and couscous as 2 choices at Columbia Harbor House. We had both as sides with their Salmon and they were tasty.

Check out my thread for the most updated choices. I took a lot of photos of CS menus and displays while there. ;)

Here's a few more-soup, salad, chips, eggrolls, fries, pretzels, fruit-whole or in cups, fresh potato chips, Craisins, fried Corn on the cob, chili, onion rings, etc. This is just in MK alone.

Happy snacking! :)

We love the pretzels in Germany - snack area - EPCOT, World Showcase
carbs - but they are easy to share and a decent snack between meals :goodvibes

Thanks Everyone!

I would so much rather have an eggroll or something savory than a bowl of ice cream (well, most of the time). I've told the kids not to expect sodas and junk between meals, as there will be plenty of opportunity for treats at mealtime. I get a headache thinking about eating so much sugar each day (and the resulting spin-up of the children).

13 days to go!

We got some tasty snacks at the Joy of Tea Stand in the World Showcase. We tried the egg rolls (you get two for one snack credit) and chicken curry pockets. Both were very tasty.

A few years ago were were snacking around World Showcase and had a hard time finding savory snacks. They are there but the sweet treats are easier to find.

The ham and cheese croissants at boulangerie are TDF. Get one ;)
Also don't forget about popcorn! for some reason popcorn always tastes better at Disney world!

I find that apples are a great sweet-nonsweet snack! You get the juice and the crunch as well as the sweetness. And it fills you up a lot longer than chocolate.
