I know there has been a lot of discussion on this forum about TMA and the fact that they are a charter airline who flies by their own rules. We are flying with them in 2 weeks and were very grateful they did not cancel our flights back in Sept. like some of you poor folks had to deal with. I'm not sure I would book with them again ( doesn't give me a very secure feeling knowing they could cancel my flight one week out!) but now we may have another option...
Apparently, beginning some time in February, USAIR will begin non-stop flights out of Syracuse into Orlando. Maybe some of the majors are willing to compete here - I'm hoping more will follow. My hope is that their fares will be lower (Airtran out of Rochester is still a good option otherwise). It would be nice to have the security of a major carrier with competitive fares, wouldn't it? Something to keep an eye on anyway. Hopefully, it will give us another option here in Syracuse...
