Non smoking rooms at SL?

Is it possible to request a non smoking room on check in at Sequoia Lodge? Do such rooms even exist in DLRP? It's just that last year we stayed at the Santa Fe and our room stunk of cigarette smoke, even the bedding and it was rank. at the time I had no idea that smoking was even allowed in rooms, I'd presumed that Disney would be non smoking throughout but didn't count of the french and their constant need for nicotine!!

Any ideas as it was really offputting to be honest and I hated my kids especially sleeping in a stinky room.

We requested a non-smoking room last time we were at the Sequoia. As far as i know we got it. Our room didnt smell of smoke and i couldnt smell smoke anywhere inside the building. We had been given a free upgrade to a Montana room.

Our room overlooked a balcony at the front of the hotel and we would see people smoking out there of a morning. I just presumed this was because they werent allowed to smoke inside. It was really freezing so i didnt think they would choose to smoke outside.

They definitely exist - I've seen the signs on the doors.

Oh, oops. Sorry. LOL! Yes, it was indeed yuck. I spent the whole time feeling a bit grubby, like I'd spent a night in the pub and not washed my hair IYKWIM? Oh well, the rest of the trip was fab, it was just that one thing that spoilt it a bit. I shall ask on check in if we have a ns room then, and request one if possible.

I was in a 'smoking optional' room earlier this month - no smell at all. BUT I did have my window open the whole time (well, except when housekeeping would come in and close the window and crank the heat to 25 or 30 every day GRRRR)

But I have had some very smoky stinky rooms elsewhere and travel with cinnamon room spray to combat any odours. None in my room at SL - hope that you manage to have the same luck.

Yes, you should request this at CRO (central reservation office)
you can contact them by phone.

Please note that most smoking rooms at SL are cleaned so good
that 99% of the time you dont even smell/see the difference when you
step into the room.
