non-milk for cereal

You may have to try a few different kinds and only try 1 new thing every few days. So you can see what works and what doesn't and what you like and what you don't. I use lactaid and I love it. But I really like the idea of the shelf stuff someone else suggested for Disney.... It would be nice to NOT have to walk down and get my milk from the chef each morning, so I may have to try some this week.

I've seen the silk and the vanilla almond milk in the lunch box packs. I buy the almond in the quart sized (maybe, I know it's not half a gallon). Once you open it it has to be refridgerated, but I love those little boxes for travel. I keep them in a bag and stick one or two in the fridge or in a ice bucket and viola cold milk. So convienent. Plus they are nice because I stick the boxes in the cabniet at home and if I decide to take PB sandwich for lunch I can ice down one with out taking up a ton of room but they last a long time and I can have them on hand for last minute lunch decisions.

SOOOOO Cool. I am going to pick some up this week and try them to see if they agree with me, and if I like them. When I go to Starbucks I get soy milk in my latte, so I should be able to use it. I tried Silk once, right after I was diagnosed with Celiac, and I liked it, but had some issues after, but I was trying all kinds of new things then, so I don't think the silk was it, but it has made me not try it again.

Thanks for the heads up.

For milk alternatives, I like hemp milk, and almond milk is my second choice. I can't drink soy milk, bothers me and leaves an awful after taste.
