We have been members for almost 15 years. Last week a friend and I decided to go to the DIS 20th Anniversary Party, and I did not have points available. We ended up staying at POFQ. The last time I stayed there was 2001. It was just as pretty as I remember!

Our home resort is BWV, so we are not heavy bus users. It was quite a surprise to use buses for everything. I will say, I am a little more sympathetic to the bus complaints now. Nothing really outrageous happened, but when you are not totally dependent on buses every day of vacation, I think I lost a little perspective.

At one point, a guest completely lost it on the POFQ manager. His family had waited for over an hour for a bus to DS. The manager ended up paying for cabs for everyone, including us.

We had an awesome time, the party was great, and we really relaxed our way through the World.

But, in the end, I really missed by 2BR. So grateful for my DVC.

Thanks for the review. We also own at BWV and appreciate the extra space as well as the ability to walk to two parks. POFQ was our favorite resort prior to DVC, but I wouldn't be surprised if we felt the same way as you do if we stayed there now. :teeth: (We haven't stayed at any non-DVC WDW resort since we purchased).

I recently stayed at Pop Century with my son for two nights this spring after 5 years of DVC stays. My son loved it, but for me it was torture! I hated the chaos of the food court and I really despised having to walk by all the parents out smoking in their pjs every morning. Made me really appreciate my DVC.

We did walk around to Art of Animation though. That place is truly amazing!!

I stayed at POR over Memorial Weekend since I couldn't get any DVC rooms. I really like POR, it's my favorite moderate but usually I rent a car and that trip I didn't since I couldn't find a good price on one.

I got fed up with the buses pretty quick after the ridiculous long bus line from DHS back to our resort the first night. I was sure missing the ease of the Poly DVC.

We walked over to POR one morning. Couldn't believe how beautiful the view is from the walking path, across the water, of the mansion section. Gorgeous!

Thanks for your quick report. I see me downloading the Uber app before our visit in August. I've never used it but thinking I might. I hope that using the service is as easy as everyone says! Buses to DS have always been so few and far between, in my experience, which surprises me with all the opportunity for people to spend $$$ there!
