Hello Fellow Disneyers!

I am looking for advice- My mom belongs to Interval International. Last year we were able to trade in for Old Key West which was fabulous!! We having a pending request for a Disney Time Share again for December (my twins 5th bday).

In the interim, she found out that she has a time share about to expire and we need to use it ASAP! I was hoping for the week of 8/26-9/2. Of course, no Disney Time Shares through Interval are available. But there are so many others that we are unfamiliar with I was hoping someone could make a recommendation of a good Interval Time Share that is close to Disney World parks and is kid friendly (4 year old b/g twins and a 2 year old).

Thank you!

the Marriott are pretty wonderful. Although the ones closest to WDW are also the oldest - Imperial Palms, Sabal Palms, Royal Palms - the others are closer to Seaworld - Cypress Harbour, Grande Vista and Horizons

Cypress Pointe and Sheraton Vistana are both now on II as well as RCI. they are very close.

if you still need help come back with a list.

get her member number and sign up online at
www.intervalworld.com

then you can see what is availability.

Yes..if you can list the ones available we can give you our opinions

Just checked II and all Orlando Marriotts have a 2bd starting 8/26. Any deposit should get them because it is within 60 days.

With kids your age I would grab the Horizons week. They will have a blast. If you are exclusivley doing Disney every day then one of the Palms resorts is closer.

Thank you everyone!

My DH was leaning towards the Royal Palms because of location and High Speed Internet. I do have my mom's login and I check constantly. I got all excited for Saratoga Springs just showed up--but for this week 19-26th!

I appreciate all the assistance! We plan to spend most of our time at Disney Parks with just a one day venture to Sea World.

This is great!! I recommend this site to all my friends!!

Thank you for the heads up on the Royal Palms--
We need to rethink this--

It is very confusing-

Here is what II is showing available:
Blue Tree Resort at Buena Vista • BL2
Calypso
Celebrity Resorts
Marriott Horizons--is this far away to Magic Kingdom
Marriott's Cypress Harbor
Marriott's Grand Vista
Marriott's Royal Palms
Marriott's Sabal Palms
Westgates are listed, too

(there are others but they are either not 5 star or seem too far away)

Any advice is welcomed!

Thank you very much!

If it were me I would pick Horizons or Cypress Harbour. I haven't stayed at either but they get great reviews, and if you like OKW, I have heard CH is similar.

Marriott's Cypress Harbour and Horizons are across the street from each other.

No, they are not far from Disney at all. around 15 minutes on ID. shorter on I4 - if no traffic (not likely)

horizons was designed for kids in your age group.

on I4, the DD exit is the next exit.

turn right out of the resort - at the traffic light turn left (get on I4) WDW is the next 5 exits.

on ID (I like it better far less traffic) - turn left out of the resort - at the traffic light turn right stay on this roads (International Drive) until it deadends - turn right - this roads is 536 ID it becomes Epcot Center Drive.

there are a couple more routes come back if you get either one.

DO NOT GET WESTGATE. believe me you don't want to be bothered every day.

Marriott's Cypress Harbour gets the best reviews of all the Marriott.

You can relax here.

you can't go wrong with either of these

Horizons is terrific. It's made to order for that age group - slides with zero entry pools. If it had a Disney gift shop, I'd think I was at a Disney resort. It's rated #4 on trip advisor for all Orlando resorts. Cypress Harbour is pretty, too. They are the highest rated Marriotts in Orlando on trip advisor. Here's my pictures from April taken at Horizons:

Horizons has two themed pools with slides, mini water park fun area, and a miniature golf course. It's definitely as pretty as Disney's Old Key West - it actually reminds me of Old Key West - Horizons and Cypress Harbour both remind me of Disney's Old Key West resort with the pastel pretty Florida feel. I'm a DVC member, but I like to stay at Horizons and Cypress Harbour to supplement my DVC trips. :teeth:

Just wanted to say think you to everyone for all the advice!
We went ahead and booked the Horizons at Marriott. We truly appreciate all the feedback and guidance and links and pictures! how fabulous!

We leave this weekend so we'll follow up when we return!

Thanks so much again!

Cypress Harbor is our favorite but I agree that Horizons would be a better choice for your family. However, if not available, look for CH. The rooms have a spa tub and are larger then Horizons and still much for the kids to do.

Hello!

Now that we have chosen Horizons, is there a room location that you would recommend?

Views, locations, to childrens pools, etc?

Thank you, again!

We're counting down.... :cheer2:

If you want quiet then get building 12 which is farthest from the road and overlooks the lake - really peaceful. Building 13 overlooks the pool if you like pool watching. These buildings were being refurbed, so I don't know the progress or if they have the large screen TVs.

Building 15 overlooks the pool on the other side and 16 is closer to the road. Both of these have the large screen TVs.

The new buildings 28?? just opened this year and are across the street from the pirate pool, but closer to the pool with the slide. They should be nice, but I have not stayed in them yet. Anyway, the longest walk to the pirate pool is about 5 minutes from anywhere.

The only building I would avoid is 10 which is the smoking building (unless you smoke). I don't know if they have converted to all non smoking yet like the Marriott hotels.
