Hi,

If I use my DVC points, and stay in a Fort Wilderness Home, do I get Maid service?
What about the other non DVC resorts that take DVC points?

If I stay in a DVC resort, I know I do not get any maid service.
Can I get clean towels, or am I expected to wash my towels?
Is there a place to dump my own trash (such as a dumpster or something).

I don't like having the maids make my bed or pick up my stuff, but I like having clean towels and having the trash emptied.
If I stay more then 5 days, I like having clean sheets.

I really don't know about maid service at non-DVC resorts, but I would assume you're treated as any cash guest is treated, simply because the volume of DVCers using points at a non-DVC resort would be small, and to differentiate would be more trouble than it is worth.

While at a DVC resort you can order extra towel packs for $6, 4 Bath, 4 washcloths, and I think, 2 hand towels per pack. You can also get additional trash and towel days for $10 per requested day.
Trash bin location varies from resort to resort, but all should have some fairly conveniently located. At OKW, trash and recycle bins are in the enclosed areas under the stairwells in each building.

Hi there!

If you stay at a non-DVC resort on points you will be treated the same as if you had booked that resort using cash -- I speak from experience as I have used my points to stay at the regular WDW resorts on points in the past;) You will get full mousekeeping services. That's the one perk to having to spend such an excessive amount of points to stay non-DVC.

As for staying DVC and your question about clean towels -- as ChuckS mentioned, you can pay an extra $6 per towel pak (or $10 per extra T-n-T day) but you will get trash-n-towel service on day 4 of your stay and a full cleaning on day 8 (if you are still there:D ) and you can put your towels in the wash and wash them yourself in between to save yourself the expense. They will change your sheets on your full cleaning day;) And as ChuckS also mentioned, there are trash closets located conveniently throughout the DVC resorts to empty trash in between trash-n-towel day as well.

You will only get clean sheets if you stay at least 8 days. Then you get full cleaning on day 4. If you stay less than 8 days, you will only get clean towels plus the trash picked up and removed. Unless you pay for the extra service.
