Non-Disney snorkeling in Nassau?

We are going on 4-day Bahamas cruise. We told my adult DS and GF that when we are in Nassau, DH and I will stay on the ship with the boys and allow them to snorkel in Nassau. The purpose is to give them an adult activity in Nassau. Then DH and I will head to Serenity Bay while on CC.

We are in Nassau from 9:30 - 5:15. I understand the reasons to book a Disney excursion. But can anyone recommend a snorkeling excursion for a couple looking to escape kids?

Some Disney excursions are adult only, but I do not see one for Nassau. There is an excursion to Blue Lagoon that goes to their VIP beach. Kids are not allowed on that side of the island, but the ferry there and back would have many kids. The snorkeling is okay at Blue Lagoon, not great.

They might also look at getting a day pass to the Bob Marley House resort. Nice beach and pool, no kids. My brother and his wife enjoyed their day there, but they are not snorkelers.

I'd ask over on Cruise Critic as well. You should get a lot of recommendations there.

I looked on TripAdvisor but it seems a lot of the snorkeling excursions make two trips a day - one leaving before we dock, the second returning after all-aboard time. So yes, I will probably mosey over to CruiseCritic ports of call board. Thanks!

Forgot to suggest checking shoretrips.com. We used them once in Nassau (Blue Lagoon for dolphins).
