Non-Disney Restaurants that are worth your while!

I second the suggestion of Chevy's over at the Crossroads. Also at the Crossroads, for a good moderately priced burger, try Fuddruckers.

For a really good steak dinner, try Charley's Steakhouse. There are a couple of them. One's right on 192 (set back a little from the street) about a 1/2 mile east of I-4. The other is up on I Drive, just south of Sand Lake Rd. We've been to the one on 192 and it was fantastic. Not exactly cheap, but one of the best bone-in ribeyes I've ever had, and the desserts are good, too. Jacket and tie not required, but you might feel a little out of place without a collared shirt and nice golf shorts or slacks.

For a more reasonable steak dinner, try Longhorn Steakhouse. Also 2 locations near WDW, both on 192. The newer one is about 4 miles west of I-4, out near the new Target near Orange Lake. The other one is about 3 miles east of I-4, almost directly across from Wyndham's Cypress Palms. Been to both. Both pretty consistantly good. Try the Wild West Shrimp appetizer. One our favorites.

Charley's is an upscale steakhouse we've always really enjoyed. Longhorn more run of the mill type chain but about 25% cheaper. For pure taste go Charley's - value may favor Longhorn. I'm hungry either way !

Seriously. My peanut butter and jelly sandwich is not going to cut it today...I'm craving steak!

I'm so glad someone recommended Chevy's. We don't have one around here, and I've always wanted to eat there! QUOTE]

We ate at Chevy's our last 2 trips & were happy with it both times. We will likely eat there again this fall.

Sand Lake West is restaurant mecca. Enough restaurants there to make you feel like a kid in a candy store. And guess what? No ADRs required!

do you know if this offer is for Canadian also?

Yes, since the certs are delivered online Canadians can use Restaurant.com also. However, when you complete your address information online you need to use a US address. Others have used their home street address (number and street name) and then their hotels City, State and Zip code.

Our Favourites are:
KOBE A Japanese Steakhouse (has 3 or 4 locations / one at Crossroads - Palm Parkway, where we always go 2 or 3 times when we are in the world). The Chef prepare your dinner at a hot table. Great show, great food. You will love it!

MING COURT on International Drive. Especially the Dim Sum on lunch!

BUFFALLO WILD WINGS if you like Chicken Wings this is the place to be (Crossroads and also one on International Drive)

P.F. CHANGS (at the Mall at Millenia - go on I 4 Direction Orlando you will see the Exit to the Mall). Fantastic Chinese Bistro. One of our absolute favourites! Love the Mongolian Beef!

For a good Steak CHARLEYS is really great! (By the way you won't have a problem with your 10 year old, we were there with our 7 year old).

For more Infos you just can google these restaurants.

Don't really do the steak thing. DH and I really like Sweet Tomatoes. Go for lunch when it's a little cheaper. It's really great if you want more soup/salad things and not steak/meat

Also sign up for their e-mail club. You will receive coupons via e-mail a couple times a month. We were signed up and did receive coupons but we forgot to take them with us when we went to Orlando. :guilty:

Thanks for both of these. We were just talking last night about finding a Japanese place somewhere. We love Teppan Edo at Epcot, but we were looking for a cheaper alternative.

The Ming Court on I-Drive has great dim sum. We eat there at least once every time we're in Orlando.

Absolute better than Teppan Edo in Epcot!

Good to know. We don't have a good Hibachi place here in town, so we try to hit them when we are on vacation.

All this talk about dim sum has me starving this morning!
