Non-Disney Excursion monetary tip suggestions

We will be taking non-Disney operated excursions. Any suggestions on how much we should tip on $500-$750 excursion? Should we tip if it is owner operated?

Its up to you, I often book my own private trips and you have to consider the service the guide and the driver, but a base is 10% in most countries.

A flat sum like $50 or Euros50 is also an alternative.
