Hello, I have applied for Disney's college program once and didn't make it past the WBI. I was wondering if my chances are not as great the second time around applying because I do not attend a disney accredited school? Can anyone help me on this?

It doesn't matter what school you went to or how many times you've been rejected.

There is no such thing as a "Disney accredited school".

I think you may be referring to a school that hosts one of the DCP presentations. They don't do school presentations any more, but even when they did, this still didn't matter. The program was still open to anyone in any college/university. They just had presentations at schools that had large populations, were in areas near several schools, or who historically had a good turnout for interviews.

You cited that you didn't move on after you completed your WBI. This would be due to the outcome of this interview and not your school.

Many people don't get in the first time they apply. If it is something you want to do, you should continue to apply.

My university does not accept the CP for college credit (they did but then "something" happened....no idea), but as long as your ok with not recieving any credit then Disney is more than willing to accept you :)

Failing any WBI isnt the end of your chances, try it again and read some tips (I believe there are 1 or 2 threads already about this).

Tha is everyone. I do know they still do college presentations. CMU does them. I've for more than a few friends that attend. I appreciate all the tips!

No they do not. As of last semester, they do not send recruiters to schools to host presentations.

Prior to this past semester, they no longer required people to go to a presentation to apply.

Prior to lifting that requirement, anyone interested had to go to a presentation at school (or nearby) or they had to watch a streaming version online.

If CMU has anything, it is not something that is officially done by Disney. It could be a brief meeting held by the internship office or possibly something done by the former program participants that disney has asked to help promote the program on campus. they are called campus representatives and they are not recruiters. they are just alumni (like any of us) who also volunteer time to promote on campus. Hopefully they are on top of the latest changes with the program and don't give out misinformation (some reps don't bother keeping up).

Also the presentation schedule is no longer linked on the disneycollegeprogram.com site.

For comparison, visit disneyculinaryprogram.com and look under the "about the disney culinary program" tab. Over on the right, you can see a link to their presentation schedule. They still do school presentations for culinary program.

Now go to disneycollegeprogram.com and look under the same tab. That is where the presentation schedule used to be. Not there now because there are no more school presentations.
