I know I can order allergy meals at the sit-down and ADRs, but what about just walking around and wanting a snack? I can't imagine planning our day so much that we special order where and what time we know we be in front of a snack vendor so they would have something specific waiting for us. Like at all the ice cream stops, will they have popsicles or soy ice cream readily available next to the regular ice cream? Do any vendors/quick service have soy or rice milk stocked?

so my daughter has a milk allergy...which seems hard for the world to understand in comparison to lactose intolerant...so I have come across this situation many times...but apples, and grapes are everywhere...soy milk will be available at some vendors...the minutemaid lemonade cups and I think they are also in rasberry lemonade (vendor carts), rice krispy treats, popcorn in those great souvenir cups or not....

I would agree...people think dairy allergy is lactose intolerance and it is different...very different. I second the above and would add to be very careful as a lot of people do not understand what is and isn't dairy. That may seem lame but it is true. I have asked about dressings and have received very wrong answers.

Most of the ice cream vendors will have popsicles of some form. And some locations will also sell the little boxes of Silk. Most of the resorts stores/food courts will have it, and assorted places in the parks. However, you may find it much more affordable to buy a case of Silk from Amazon and have it shipped to your hotel and bring a few with you each day. They run $1.99 each in the parks, or you can buy a case of 18 for $16.45 online with free shipping if you spend $25.

If you check out the AllEars listing of Vegetarian/Vegan choices you may see some other options. http://allears.net/din/vegcsparks.htm Keep in mind that the list is a little outdated in some locations. But anything that is listed as Vegan should be fine for someone with dairy allergies. That indicates some some locations will carry Divvies with should be dairy free snacks.

You can find Divvies cookies (nut, egg and dairy free) at a few of the parks' CS locations (definitely at the resorts' CS locations).

The rice crispy treats were not dairy free last time I was there (last April). I have never ever found a dairy free rice crispy treat. Just an FYI b/c it was listed in another post.

Babycakes is gluten free and most of their things are dairy free as well. They're in DTD. I plan to go on our first day and buy a few treats to nibble on for a few days.

-Everything at Babycakes is 100& free of any milk products, it's a completely vegan bakery :)

-The Divvies cookies are really good IMO
-The Divvies carmel corn is ok
-The Main Street Ice Cream Parlor has milk free "ice cream"(tofutti & rice dream last time I was there).
-When we stayed at POP in Sept the chef offered to make me a milk free sundae using toffuti as well.
-There are a lot of popsicle stands or frozen drink stands that offer milk free snacks

I did not know that the rice crispy treats were dairy free. Yeah! Another non dairy snack at the Main St. Bakery is the Apple Turnover.

DD is severely lactose-intolerant and can not even have butter or modified milk ingredients, etc. and all dairy has to be avoided for us. The non chocolate-dipped crispie treats were dairy-free when we were there in June... also popcorn from the vendors is dairy-free as are the adult hot dogs (and they are supposed to charge you for a kid hot dog since it is a dietary issue). Each food service local (minus the street vendor) has a list of foods with their ingredients. You should also compete the food allergy sheet before you go so the restaurants know you are coming and will have the chef come talk with you.

You can also e-mail the Disney Dietary folks any questions about specific foods before hand.

As the OP mentioned, Babycakes is dairy-free and the allears.net vegetarian list is good too.

Some TS restaurants are better about getting foods that are dairy-free AND the kids want to eat than others. One night all DD (not even 3 at the time) wanted for dinner was a hot dog and we were at Tony's. We said not to worry, pasta with Olive oil was OK and next thing we know she has a hot dog and they are not even on the menu!

Oh, and the gluten-free pizza is also soy cheese and pretty tasty! :goodvibes

Where do you get the gluten-free pizza? I would love to try that.

Pizza planet in DHS is where we have gotten it, but I think it is also at Pinochio's Village Haus in MK.

I do not believe that one can be a kid meal, but I could be wrong... I got it as the meal with a salad and split it with DD.
