Non Apple MP3 player

After my DD's ipod braking at 18 months (somehow the connection board got burnt!) and mine after 3 years the battery not holding a charge... We would like to try some cheaper options.

Mine will be used primarily in a car with no MP3 input - I have a cassette adapter in my primary car that I will be using thru the players headphone jack. When we take DH's car it would need to play thru the radio if possible.


DD12 does not car what brand just as long as there is a touch screen.


Does anyone have a suggestion for a non Apple MP3 player?

You miss several deals after Christmas sales on android cell phones that could be use as cheap mp3 player and does same things ipod touch but cheaper.

I would check ebay to for cheap android cell phones to.

Ditto on what this poster said, but make sure the phone has a slot to add a microSD card, so you can expand the storage to fit your music. I currently use a deactivated Samsung smart phone as a iPod Touch wanna-be. Once you purchase a pre-paid phone, there's no obligation to actually activate it on a cell plan.
