Non-AP Ticket Holders and New Park Reservations System-INFO POST #76

I apologize....can we keep this thread for non AP questions? And DVC has another thread? :duck:
This tread applies to DVC folks without APs. A DVC reservation is no different than any other resort reservation as far as MDE is concerned.

I got the email today saying I will be able to book park days on Monday. Here's hoping I actually can.

Oh no!!! I have Dolphin reservations for November and tickets linked but I didn't get an email. Does that mean we can't get park reservations??

Are they even letting people resort hop? Somebody told me you had to have a dining reservation or be a guest in the resort itself.
this is the process as of right now
Note: At this time, a valid Disney Resort hotel reservation will be required to make dining reservations. Online reservations are currently available at select Disney Springs dining locations. Online reservations for other dining experiences will reopen at a later date.

So, I got the email. I have the closure-affected tickets that are now extended through 9/2021. I also have a room-only resort reservation for November

But, I'm a little conflicted about reserving for November because I'm still not sure what restrictions will be in place. I may end up cancelling to go at a later time with a fuller experience.

Also, have we determined if the closure-affected tickets are good for ANY dates from now through next September (as is the current language), or are they still governed by typical use windows, but we may choose any start date?

Because If I can split my 7-day tickets, I might want to reserve some days for this November, as planned, but hold a few days in reserve in hopes I'll be able to get back and be able to let my kid see a parade, meet a princess, or view fireworks.

Yes. Same question. We have 6 day tickets, so good for any 6 days, even 6 months apart as long as we use them before sept 2021? or only good for 14 days after the first use?

Where does it say 7am EST? I don't see that anywhere.

If it doesn't say EST (which it totally should) I think it's a fair assumption it's EST since making reservations that has a "start time" for anything else Disney World related (180 day ADRs, FP+, etc.) has always always been based on Eastern Time Zone.

Sorry...just knew DVC had a forum. Good luck on Monday!

I have a Dolphin reservation for one night in Aug before our DVC reservation and I actually got an email from the Swan/Dolphin today but haven't gotten one from Disney. It's a hot mess.

I think as long as your hotel reservation and park tickets are linked to MDE you should be good to go on Monday.

so, DH and I have unactivated Gold APs from a June trip that was cancelled and I have 7-day PH tickets for our adult boys that were dated June 13-20th, but then changed to Dec. 17-23 when June was cancelled. THEN we bumped the Dec. trip to a little earlier, Dec. 9-15th during the "shutdown" but the tickets still show a start date of Dec. 17th.

I have a trip for just DH and I Aug 26-30th booked

and then in Feb. 2021 I have booked a trip for myself, DH and my cousin - once again DH and I have APs but my cousin has no tickets yet...

I did receive the email from Disney about booking on Monday, will I be able to book park reservations for all 3 vacation dates?

I wonder if the email was speaking to just being able to book for the Aug reservation or maybe just Aug and Dec? What about Feb? Can I just book a park reservation for myself and DH but not my cousin since she doesn't have a ticket linked but she IS listed as a family/friend?

oh the questions....

Correct. You can only book the Park Pass for people with Resort AND tickets on Monday. We have a large group going in October, rescheduled from April and only a few of us have tickets, so we are crossing our fingers that we can all be in the park on the same day. But with the Virus and guidelines, who knows if we will even all be allowed to hang out like we have the past 4 years...

I asked about this via email query a couple of weeks ago. The WDW help person responded that a 6-day PH (my existing linked ticket) could be used any six days of my choice up to 9/26/21. The usual time limit of nine days, starting and including the first day of use, would not apply. In all honesty, I am still not sure I believe that, even though they said it. If my late August trip comes together, I will check again at the Disney Springs ticket center.

Well I guess this is my group. We have a POP reservation with 3 day tickets. Coming from Iowa and non AP. Just hubby and I. We are planning to skip Epcot. Our Disneyworld days are Thursday-Saturday. Im planning to make MK for Thursday, HS for Friday and AK for Saturday. I don’t plan to sleep Sunday night. I’m nervous about it.. I don’t like this pressure.

DH didn't receive an email either (one of our reservations is in his name) or any kind of communications during any of this. Went into his account several weeks ago and added every single marketing email possible. Since then, he's been slammed with ABC, Disney on Ice, and a few others, lol. Nothing from WDW. Fortunately, this year I've been getting them, but I usually learn from these boards first what's coming :).

Crossing fingers for everyone on Monday!!
May the Force be with us all!
