Does Disney have any rules on noisy people? There have been times when the guests over our room had let their kids run around till late at night. I was almost tempted one trip to leave a note on their door the next morning asking them to be more considerate.

at our resort just a week ago......and the front desk said for us to call security and they would take care of it if it happened again......so we let it go and then finally one morning they were nice enough (manager) to get us another room......we expect people to have fun on their vacations......but we were zonked .....

I'm guilty of this. :( I went to a daycamp that had a program for traveling when you reached a certain age. At 12 and 13 we were let loose in theme parks all over the country. The final trip was a 5 day/4 night Disney vacation. We stayed at All Star Music one year and Sports the next.

The last year that I went we were quite a loud bunch. 40 kids and about 6 adults, with one group leader. We didn't do anything terrible, but being up until 4:30 in the morning did not make the neighboring guests happy. The first morning we were sat down by a Cast Member by the pool and were "yelled" at. As far as they were concerned, with the number of guests that called and complained, we used our three strikes. One more call and we were kicked out of the resort.

The rest of the stay our counselors made us stay by the pool until 1 in the morning, sometimes later. You'd think this would be a good thing to a 12 year old, but after touring the parks in the middle of august and getting up at 6:30 am, I was ready for bed. I felt bad for them too, they had to take turns sleeping and stay awake walking the halls to make sure no one was too noisy.

We weren't a horrible group of 13 year olds, but we were 13 without our parents in Disney World....its the age. We were bound to be noisy. I know if I were staying in a room near us I would've called the front desk and been a very angry parent.

Cheerleaders and kids from schools and they have never really bothered us.........BUT our noise makers were adults....we told the manager of our hotel that cheerleaders were quieter then these were.......and cheerleaders didnt' bother us

When I stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, we were in a room next to a young child who would screech every night until late at night, and then be up and screeching each morning by 5:00. I'm guessing that the child was about four or five, because of the way he spoke. It was annoying, but I could deal with it because I know how kids can be.

Well, what really set me off was every time this kid would screech, the older sibling and father of this child would start yelling at him to be quiet. That was more annoying than the child screeching.

Finally, after two sleepless nights, we moved to another room (and proceeded to find a cockroach on the vanity, but that's another story for another thread).

This is when I feel lucky I have a hearing loss. Take the hearing aids out and I don't get bothered by anything.

When there was a code out for the Polynesian, we splurged and stayed one night. Unfortunately, we were in a connecting room and we could hear every single word. It was a grandma/grandma/granddaughter. And the little one sounded about four; she stayed up very late and got up very early. I know it's silly, but it kind of took away my desire to stay there again. Except for not being able to sleep, we had a great time.

Speaking of which how do you guys recommend dealing with neighbors that are kind of noisy when they're being "amorous"?

It's mostly elderly couples & everyone keeps to themselves. I've never met the couple, so I don't just want to knock on their door & tell them to keep it down. OTOH it does get a little old.

Jeff, I had that problem too. I was trying to sleep and the neighbors were having too much fun. lol

Jeff, taking notes?

I've always been afraid I'd be the noisy neighbor. Well, not the way Laurie's referring her neighbors were though.;)

I've never had noisy neighbors on the onsite hotels. I did have noisy teenagers at a hotel in Tampa once. They were running up and down the halls, and going down and up the elevators around midnight. I was about to call the front desk when their chaperone shooed everyone back to their rooms.
