Noise level at SSR

Hi all, this may be best directed to anyone who had been to The Disney Institute. I'm sure Disney has done a fine job making sure the rooms will be quiet but how about the outside? SSR is in a pretty busy area with DD and the other roads that surround it, so I was just wondering what the level of noise might be outside. If anyone has some insight, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

I don't think anyone can know this until someone has had a chance to stay there.

Never stayed at the DI, but I can't believe it would be much different than that BCV / BWV / Dolphin / Swan area. In the area surrounding those resorts you've got a couple of theme parks, the Boardwalk, foot traffic, boat traffic, etc.

Isn't everyone looking forward to sitting out on their balcony and listening to the West End Boys? All we get at BCV is British Invasion.

We stayed at the DI about 8 or 9 years ago in one of the townhouses on the lake across form DTD. Didn't notice any noise at all whether the patio doors were open or closed.

However, keep in mind that the whole DTD, WS, and PI area was probably not as developed as it is now.

We've stayed in that area many times (when it was still called Disney Village) and never found any problem with noise. None of the buildings will be close to heavily travelled roadways.

I suspect that there will be brief sound at midnight each nite from PI- but not much problem from within the rooms (no more than from BCV, BWV or OKW during Illuminations shows).

Enjoy!

It also depends on how you define noise. For me, diesels and road traffic, music and 'crowd noises' aren't noise...it's background music to my life. Girls' soccer/cheerleading teams in town for a tournament....now that's noise. :)
