Noise from the Speedway

In 20 more days DH and I are off for our first visit to the Poly. I was wondering if anyone has ever had trouble with the noise from the speedway? I personally have never seen anything happening there. Anyone ever have an issue with this? What building were you in? Excuse me...what LONGHOUSE were you in.

My DH and I usually stay in the Tahiti Long house or the Rapa Nui Long house. We have never been bothered by noise from the speedway.

When The Indy cars would be there we could hear them at the Poly...but sense they don't race at the speedway anymore no noise...Petty's Driving Experience (stock-cars) not enough cars at one time to make much noise.

When we stayed at the Polynesian back in 97 (in Moorea, now Tahiti), all we heard at night was the roar of the cars. I kept wondering where all the noise was coming from. But we have only stayed at DVC properties since, so I couldn't tell you if the noise is gone or not.

We didn't hear anything last month. We were in Tokelau. It was very quiet, the only noise we heard was one time some people were running in the hall. Other then that one time it was very peaceful

You may hear the noise of some people on their balconies drinking coke and burping, but other than that, you should be OK.
