Hi~

I was just wondering if there is a lot of noise due to construction at SSR?

Thanks
Pixiepop

We were there in December and contstruction was going on at full tilt. I seem to recall that we could occassionally hear the beeps of equipment in reverse from inside our room, but it was not bothersome at all. At night, we didn't even hear the fireworks at DD, though Wishes at MK woke me up a time or two!

Not bad at all we only noticed it when walking from cp to the main pool area. We never heard it from our room.

We've stayed there twice - May and December - and never heard much noise at all. Sometimes when walking near the Town Center area, but never from the room. It's key to note that the windows at SSR face away from the construction, at least at CP....

We did not hear any construction at all in December. We did hear the fireworks at PI but that was on NYE when they were very long and spectacular. We didn't hear them at all the other nights (we were in Congress Park with a DTD view)

We were there in December and didn't hear any noise either. I'm glad that others agree, sometimes I think that I just love everything about DVC and I wouldn't notice if the place was in shambles.

We didn't have any noticeable noise when we were there 2 weeks ago. I could hear faint noises from pleasure island at night, but nothing that bothered me after a day of Disney parks! I could probably sleep through the towel train coming through my room as tired as I was! :teeth:

It seems that most of the SSR construction near Congress Park is nearly complete from an exterior standpoint. Thus, you wouldn't have much noise. We didn't hear any last week. The PI fireworks were slightly noticeable to me, but it was so short-lived that I didn't care. They didn't wake up our little ones.

Thanks everyone.

We are going in June for the first time and I was just wondering about. I am glad that it doesn't seem to be an issue.

Has anyone had any noise issues from DD while staying at SSR? I am specifically concerned with trying to get some sleep at night in preparation for my hectic days at the theme parks. Is the noise loud enough to keep you up? I know this is a bit of a personal opinion since we all have different tolerances for noise. Although I'm not a light sleeper, I'm not a deep sleeper either.

Thanks for your comments.

We were in congress park in the building closest to DTD via the walking trail. No noise issues at all.

No noise issues at all that we noticed, and we were right across from DTD.

no noise when we were there found the place to be really quiet and peaceful,

We stayed in Congress Park overlooking DD and the quiet pool. There were no noise problems at night at all. In fact, the one morning we slept in, I looked out the window and saw that the groundskeepers were mowing the lawn right under our unit. If I hadn't looked out I would never have known! The rooms are very soundproof! :goodvibes

The construction is now in an area away from the occupied buildings. No problems with noise on our trip a few weeks ago.
I have stayed in Congress Park and the Springs. The buildings are some of the quietest at Disney.
I would get up early to walk/jog and let my wife sleep. The way the rooms are designed, the front door opens into a small vestibule. I would not even wake her up upon entering the room.

Construction? I can't hear a thing!
