making Disney trip teeshirts is ADDICTIVE! I made three for DD, three for me and one for DH. Hold me back, I'm starting to go through the drawers looking for more white tee shirts! AAHHhhhhhhhhhhhh!:scared1:

C'mon, you've got to post some pictures! Upload to photobucket and SHOW us!

And to the PP, you need to go check out the Creative DISigns thread for some great personalized t-shirt ideas.

And OP....Michaels has their t-shirts on sale for $2 a piece this week....go crazy, my friend :thumbsup2

For those of us who are not talented...can you break it down kindercare style or should I ask on that board. I know they make designs but what's a step my step process after the design is made for you? If someone could list materials needed and step by step instructions, it would be awesome!

I have always wanted to do this when I go with a group. DD (an adult that would have do do the screen print from the computer for me) has nixed the idea as "nerdy." She just doesn't want to draw any attention to herself or our group. She's just like that.:sad2:

Well, this past May, there was a huge Dis group that met and we all had lime green Dis shirts with the Massive Meet logo on them. She was hooked. Now, she wants to do shirts for our family's grand gathering Christmas 2010. I finally got her hooked on the shirts after umpteen years of trying:lmao: I can't wait to show up all this neat stuff!:thumbsup2

No one warned me either. Mine started out with just doing the Mickey Head Tye Dye designs and then it's spread on to 3 colored tye-dye (green purple and the white from the shirt) with a Fairy transfer on them...and then I'm currently waiting for other designs to print out and get ironed on to my shirts!

It is so EASY! I've made a bunch of the shirts and there is such a variety of transfers to choose from. Some of the designers will even personalize them. The designers on Creative Disigns are fantastic. You buy the t-shirts in any color you want. Stores like AC Moore and Joanne's fabrics will run specials for 4 t-shirts (Hanes) for $10. When you are there, you purchase the transfer paper. There is transfer paper for colored shirts or white but you are better off just getting the one for the colored and using it on either shirt. Runs about $10 so save your coupons. Pick your design from Creative Disigns, size it to the transfer, and print on the transfer paper from your injet printer. After you let it sit for a bit (let the ink dry), trim it out, place it on your t-shirt and iron! That is it. The designers have also posted directions. It does become additictive. To wash the shirts, turn them inside out, wash in cold water. They stay fine. Have fun!

You are so right!!! I made our first shirts 3 years ago, and have made them for every trip since. It's a lot of fun. We have a grand gathering for Sept. and I just finished 9 shirts for 8 people, yes 72 shirts. My dh thinks I'm crazy, but I really love it. The people on the design board are wonderful, and are always willing to help with requests. They've added so much magic to our trips. I had originally tried to buy them, but was quoted over $200, for 8 shirts, which I was not willing to pay. My only suggestion, take a very old shirt, lay your design out and practice. It is really easy, but you'll get the feel for it without ruining a good shirt.

It is addictive. I started about 4 weeks ago. I made more shirts than days that we are going to be there. So we are now going to change shirts every time we hop to another park. And for a joke, I personalized DH underwear. The reason is he didn't want me to make him any shirts at first, so to show him, I made underwear. Now he has decided he wants the shirts so he gets both. I can't wait for him to get ready every morning on our trip, he is going to kill me.:rotfl:

THANK YOU!!! Underware!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! I am sooooooo going to Mickey his shorts!!!
