Seriously... are WE the ONLY family on here that has not gotten a PIN yet? I mean, for reals!-- It's not like we have the opportunity to go every friggin year (much less multipe times a year!)... I would think that my family would be a perfect candidate to toss a deal to! I've been registered on Disney.com for YEARS-- what have I not done right?! How can I get a PIN?!

... So sorry about the rant. I'm over it now. For those of you who actually read this-- Thanks for riding it out with me. Crisis officially averted.

*Deep breath*

All better =)

Haha!

No way, dude. If I ever figure that one out, I'm SELLING that baby and buying myself an ISLAND with the profit! :rotfl:

But no matter... no one will ever get it anyway. I bet they have their little formula stashed away in some vault someplace (ya know... like the Krispy Kreme recipe or the Original Barbie).

My TA called for me last week and we had no PIN either :confused3

I found one by accident. Like your family, we have gone multiple times, and filled out surveys, ordered DVDs, etc. Well, like other posters have said, I was on the WDW website playing with dates for trips and looking for deals, of course! A few days later, I got an email which didn't show a deal...in the regular copy of the body of the email. Well, I just happened to scroll all the way down to the small print, which I never do, and there it was: a pin code for deals this December!! My first one, and it made me wonder if I have missed any others by not really looking closely.

I never got one either. I am happy with the Disney Visa discount, but I never got a pin.

We have also gone many a times, did all the registering and requesting but the elusive pin has never arrived.

Question: I wonder what the mathimatical percentage is of pins that are really sent: number sent against number of users registered? Probably .1%.

Sometimes I feel like we should be treated even more special since we are paying full price.

Rant is over............Going in May 2010 with no deals in sight.

never got one either.
my co- worker who has only been once, 5 years ago, has gotten every offer they have had in the last 6 months  and she has no plans on going to see the mouse anytime soon.

i want one! it will determine where and how long we stay over spring break.
to be quite frank, i really want to stay at the CR instead of POP, but not with rooms rates at $510 a night for a tower room. instead we will stay @ POP for $150 /nt - which is still insane, but not painfully insane.grrrrrr

Don't forget to call and ask if one is attached to your name, this has worked for lots of people. I called to make a reservation last week and we needed 4 rooms. A pin is good for 3, which I had 1 pin, so we needed 1 more!! My mother NEVER checks her email, so she had to sort through a 1000 emails desperately searching for another pin so we could all get the discount! It was hilarious, but she eventually came across the same kind of pin I had!!
So I was telling the CM this story & she said if we would've called they would have probably located a pin for us!! :confused3
So definitely call & ASK!!!!

I got a pin about a week after I completed the online survey after pricing some rooms and made the comment I wasn't booking until room discounts were released. I also added the comment that my DH and I had never been to Universal and we were considering trying it instead of Disney because the prices were better. I don't know if that helped or not. Until now I had never received a code and we have been going to Disney at least once a year for approx 25 years and we have had AP for at least 10 years. Turned out I didn't use the code because magical Lisa's Poly discount beat the code discount.

Won't they get annoyed if I call just to ask for a discount?-- I don't want to sound like I'm desperate or anything (which I AM-- haha-- but THEY don't have to know it!).

I have heard the advice to ask if there is a code attached to your name, and every time I call I ask...and without fail, every time I ask, they have absolutely no idea what I am talking about ("code? What kind of code? I don't know what that is")
I have asked at least a dozen times over the years, and that has happened every.single.time

Nope we don't get the either - I DO however get them for my father - who is NOT a disney person and doesn't live in our home so we can't use his pin (I have tried several times) He gets a LOT of emails and codes all the time. We however get none. So I feel your pain.

Next time, ask if there is a PIN attached to your name, not a code. They will know exactly what you are talking about.:)

I called Disney yesterday to see if the AP rates were coming out for Jan. and the lovely CM I spoke with said that she would check to see if I had any pins for my name. I didn't have any but she offered to look without my suggesting it....which I was going to!

I am on every list and email acct. to have things sent to me and in 10yrs. time I have never gotten a post card or email with any discount codes.

Soooo, here I am still waiting for AP Jan. discounts to come out :rolleyes1

Peace.
Colleen

Definitely read every bit of an email from Disney Destinations! I am pretty sure I have received 4 this year...and only over the past couple months. Two were within the same week!

However, I didn't pay attention to the first one and didn't read every single word...and just now while sifting through my inbox I noticed in super small print that there was a pin attached. I never noticed it before. Just make sure you scour those things!

I'll join your "no pin for me" club too. Do you think it is because we are frequent visitors? With all the recent deals Disney has offered, it isn't such a big deal to me, but I would definitely like one for the future.

:confused3 Nope not a pin for us!!!!! I hear your pain!!! We want to save too! I am going to be to BIG 40 in April and I so want to stay at a deluxe!!!:goodvibes PLEASE Disney,,,, send magic!!!:wizard:

:love::laughing:
