Nobby's Gnomies... heading to WDW in April 2010

Blake says "Thank you LL, that was a very detailed description! Do you think Phil (the one with the lung clots) will make it for next season? Have you seen the Alaska Experiment on Discovery Channel?":rotfl2:
I pulled it up and said, hey Blake you wanna know what happened on DC last night? And he said, "How do you know?!" And I non-nonchalantly said "LL" :rotfl2:

YUM! Chocolate covered cherry sounds good! Do you get it with chocolate ice cream?

He's welcome! I would want a description if I had missed it! I'm addicted to those boys. I think Phil is going to be back for the opilio crab season, I highly doubt I spelled that right but you get the gist. ;) Oh and I forgot to mention that on the Time Bandit the greenhorn and one of the older guys are getting into it. They are all tense because they know one of them is going to be cut for next season. Oh! And the other guy on the Wizard...What the heck is his name? Anyway, the one who got his head clunked when he was diving underneath the boat. He was really out of it. I was worried they were going to have go back. He was all disoriented when they pulled him back on the boat and it totally ripped through the mask thing he wore while diving. It's a good thing he had so much padding or he probably would have been a lot worse. :sad2:

I haven't seen The Alaska Experiment but it looks really interesting.

I get it with vanilla but it is good with chocolate. I love the chocolate covered cherry, so delicious.

Him and one of our teachers were talking about that diving incident. Especially since the guy had said ahead of time he was worried about the boat rocking back and forth and that's what it did! He was SO lucky.

Oh gosh, after hearing about your blizzard, I checked one of the TR's from one of the comments on my PTR thread and I found an amazing find! Check out these dining pictures. It's only FOOD PICTURES from all 3 of their trips. Like close up pics of the food, *drool*, it may totally get me to lean more toward choices that I hadn't considered before! I think she's eaten at just about everywhere!

He was really lucky. I don't think that is something I would have tried to do. Or if any other captain would have made that same decision either. :confused3

Oooh! Thanks! I will check that out tomorrow at work. Food Porn always makes work go by faster. :rotfl2:

LL & Jess- it's like you're speaking another language talking about your show. :rotfl: I will have to put it in my DVR to check out.

It's Thursday already! :yay: And I just heard the extended forecast and it's going to be sunny and IN THE 80'S this weekend. 88 on Sunday!!!

:dance3::woohoo::woohoo::dance3:

The only way I could be more excited would be if I had a trip coming up. ;)

PS- Jess- thanks for that food thread. Going to check it out now.

You east coasters have had the better end of the weather deal lately. For the second week in a row, we are having beautiful weather Wed-Fri then rain and cold for the weekend :sad2:

Saturday, April 24, 2010 - Crowd Level 7 Still OK, but it's no 5!

I really adore Deadliest Catch, you have no idea how happy I am while I am watching it...well unless something sad happens.

I am SO excited for the nice weather. I really need to get some chairs for my balacony!

Boo to yucky weather on the weekend, Katie! It's a Saturday, it's bound to be more crowded. I can't wait to see how the Monday is going to be. :thumbsup2

Ugh. That stinks. I get so angry when it's nice during the week and not on the weekend! :headache:

A 7 isn't too bad on the crowd calendar! We're going to be having too much fun to care! :)

LL- definitely going to check out the show after that ringing endorsement. :upsidedow

Good Morning Gnomies!!!

If someone finds my brain can you return it to me please...I have become so forgetful the last couple of days. Last night I for the second time left my phone at school charging...so no cell phone. I also left my update on my flash drive in my school computer so I didn't get to put my update up, I left my wallet at home when we were going to church and didn't realize until I was DRIVING home LOL...I'm just like DOH!!!!!

I love the deadliest catch also and its funny because Phillip actually knows a couple of guys who do that for a living. It's hard work but they pay well eventually...first years on a boat don't make much at all. We also knew some guys who worked on the oil rigs another well paying job!

Okay so today we are going to be outside pretending to be deer and see what happens to populations when you manipulate the limiting factors. This is always a fun lab so let's just pray for no injuries...because that would just be the cherry on my sundae for this week LOL

:rotfl::rotfl:Sorry C! We're both biologists in our house, so it just kinda comes naturally to want to watch that show! I think the highlite of Blake's trip in December was seeing one of the DC's captains in the Magic Kingdom!!

Yay to the crowd level, but yikes to the nasty weather coming around for you. Enjoy as much of the sun as you can!!

So cool about Philip knowing some potential DC fisherman! I know how you feel about being forgetful! I do it all the time when I go to work on my thesis. The hallways between our office and my lab aren't connected, so I always have to walk around the building when I forget my pencil, my calculator, my thesis book, my keys, etc!

Good Morning Gnomies!!

I went and saw Disney's Earth last night! Oh it was beautiful and very eye-opening. I definately recommend seeing it! And they showed a preview for the film that will open next Earth Day which will be all about the oceans! I am super excited! Granted, I know I will be busy that day with you lot! :)

Stacy lives :yay:

Where have you been hiding girl? (And what happened to megansmom? And circusgirl? and MEK?)

Yes I live!! :woohoo: Infact I've been living too much and the computer has been ignored! I've been spending more time with my mum since she doesn't really know what to do with herself now (since she's been retired for a week now!). And I've been quite social and there is a lot of family stuff going on too. And I've been getting some more hours at work since I've been trying to show off my skills! ;) So far it seems to be working! Although I do miss my gnomies!

Yay Stace is back!! We've missed you girl!
Oh Jess! :)

I want to be a deer too! I should go wander around my backyard and channel my inner deer! Granted after seeing that movie last night I am scared to be an animal! But I certainly hope all goes well with your lab! :)

Hey Jen, I have some possibly good news for you. It looks like you may have sent your unluckyness my way!

This morning about 10 minutes before we need to be heading out the door, I send Patrick to get dressed. First of all, my son has outgrown about 10 pairs of jeans over the course of this winter so he is down to 3 or 4 pair. I threw all the dirty ones in the wash yesterday and realized that I had forgotten to put them in the dryer  UGH! So I threw 1 pair in the dryer and proceed to wait for them to dry (on top of the fact that I did buy him a new pair yesterday but they didn't fit!)

Finally, running late enough that he had missed the bus, we ran out the door knowing I was going to have to drop him off at school and I would be getting to work later than I like. In my frustration, I wasn't paying attention and as I was backing out of my driveway, I scraped the hell out of my front bumper on the cement barrier on the edge :headache:

AAARRRGGH!!! I should have just had him put on the dirty jeans he wore yesterday and called it good enough! Bless him though, when I pulled out the half wet jeans and handed them to him, he made a face but didn't complain one bit.

Hey Jess, are you still gonna get to go on your getaway this weekend?

Hey Stace! I really want to go see Disney Earth but with the nice weather headed our way this weekend I don't know if I will make it. :confused3

Katie, what a bummer about your car!!

Okay Gnomies.

Did you see the addition to the MK Morning EMH's starting today?

Starting April 23, Liberty Square, Frontierland, Fantasyland will be included in Morning Extra Magic Hours.

What do you think it means? Does it mean that the entire lands will be open?? :confused3

Man Katie that sucks about your car! I did something similar to that yesterday. I went to run a gel at school, normally I run 5 hours gels, but this one was a 90 minute gel. I typically like to make Blake dinner before he goes to class. And last night it was crab cakes and Blake being from Virginia doesn't know how to make Maryland style crab cakes, so I throw my gel in, get to the interstate and realize I'm on E, so I turn around and head for the gas station, it takes me SO long to get gas. I head for home, make dinner, and the pasta side I'm making boils over, the pasta gets on the burner, starts to burn and proceeds to set the smoke detector off. I run to open up the blinds and I can't get them open!:headache:DAH! Living in an apartment I get flustered because sometimes in apartment complexes the firetrucks are dispatched immediately, but thankfully it only beeped a few times and we were able to wave all the smoke out. So I'm all frustrated, trying to get my plate together and get to school before my gel messes up...but I made it.

So, trust me I understand! Sometimes if you don't take a step back for a second to chill, you end up with the snowball effect! Hopefully your bumper isn't too bad! But yep, we're still going to the beach this weekend. We're leaving about 8 tomorrow and coming back evening on tuesday!

Ugh Jess! What a scenario!!

Are the fires near where you are going?
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C

A state of emergency has been delcared in one county in South Carolina, as a bush fire has spread and destroyed thousands of hectares, reports The Associated Press.

Gov. Mark Sanford declared the state of emergency in Horry County where the fire has burned thousands of hectares near one of the state's busiest tourist areas, reports The AP.

He said the blaze has destroyed dozens of homes and consumed 6,000 hectares, nearly double earlier estimates.

No injuries have been reported.

About 2,500 people have been evacuated, mostly in the Barefoot Landing area near North Myrtle Beach.

Holy crap!!! That's exactly where we're going. Thanks for letting me know Katie, I better call Blake and see what we can do...

I saw a news report about it this morning and you were the first person I thought of! Hoping for the best!

It is crazy what is going on down there.

Soooooooooo.................my company just suspended the policy about taking two weeks of vacation together. Now I am wondering if I should stick with my two weeks in May or spread them out over the year. :confused3

I saw a news report about it this morning and you were the first person I thought of! Hoping for the best!
I had no idea! Blake is calling the resort now to see if it's going to effect us. My parents are going down to the Barefoot Landing area on May 1st for the week. Their original week was in September, but the hurricane came through and they were able to get their week changed to May since MB got evacuated then, NOW hopefully it won't get cancelled again!
What is going on lately!?! :confused3

Oh geeze LL...stupid work!!
