Where have you been hiding girl? (And what happened to megansmom? And circusgirl? and MEK?)

We like everything really. So anything you got, I will take! :thumbsup2
Hmm, well, we like Mexican, so we tend to make tacos with ground turkey or chicken quesadillas....there's a few ways to make those
1) you can grill up chicken, put the diced chicken and cheese in the tortillas and put them in a skillet until they get crispy and serve it with the fixin's and black beans
2) put garlic and diced chicken in a pan to cook, pull that out, put a can of cream of chicken soup with a little milk to dilute it along with some cheese, and add the chicken back into it then put that inside of tortillas

Other chicken dishes we do are:
1) Butterfly chicken, cook in a pan with honey bbq suace, when cooked add honey ham and montery jack cheese (kinda like chicken cordon blue but without the breading)
2) Cream of mushroom soup, plus a diced onion, dijon mustard and a little milk to dilute goes great with chicken...we usually serve that over butter noodles
3) Chicken casserole..the recipe is usually on the back of the stove top box...grill up some chicken and cube it, add a can of cream of chicken soup, plus some cheese, and a 1/2 bag of broccoli (if you like it), then top with a box of cooked stove top..put in the oven for 30 mins
4) Chicken panini sandwiches, grill up chicken...put on italian bread, add 1 tablespoon of pesto sauce to each side (we buy the powdered mccormick brand that's in a packet, you just add some olive oil and it's done in 2 minutes) of the bread, add your chicken and top with provolone cheese and grill it like a grilled cheese sandwich until it's melted and crispy

We do meatloaf...I add dijon mustard, finely sliced onion, 1 egg, some ketschup, and bread crumbs...the mustard gives it a great flavor

Hopefully that helps!! :thumbsup2

Okay Gnomies, I need some ideas. I feel like Marc and I cook the same things over and over again for dinners.

Any quick and easy ideas? Cheap is good too!

I have some great WW recipes if you are interest LL...I make a really easy and good Lasagna (that is very inexpensive). I have a great chicken fingers recipe and my stuffed shell recipe is also one that I have made a little healthier and its also very very easy to make LOL...If you want I will type them up and post them soon!!

I would love to exchange ideas!

You're welcome! Do you have any easy favorite recipes? ;)

It's called..........MARC. :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I'm trying to think of some that we make, well Marc makes.

The only thing I can think of right now that's really easy is Salmon. We season the salmon, usually with parsley, and we slice a lemon and just lay the slices on top. Then we wrap the salmon in tin foil and cook. I think I cook it on 350 until it's done, usually 30 minutes or so. It's so good that way and doesn't get dried out.

I'll ask Marc tonight and see what else we come up with. I know we have more easy things we make, I jsut can't think of anything.

Let's see...C's question.
Some of my favorite little things are:

-The "smell" as soon as you get off the airplane in Orlando International...not sure if it's the water or what, but Blake and I always get that distinctive "Florida smell" when we first get there
-The optics at Epcot
-The Epcot Fountain
-The "Dead Man Tell No Tales" scene in Pirates
-The firehouse on Main Street
-The Monkey carving before you go into the Bugs Life show
-The entire Lion King show
-I must admit, as much as Stacey's annoys me, I do have to watch her ONCE the day of arrival, then she goes OFF
-The "voice" on the WDW buses
-The big green dino at DHS
-Finding new animals on the Tree of Life
-The Safari ride
-ALL OF THE FOOD in the parks/resorts

I have so many more, but that's some of my favorites :goodvibes

I love Salmon. The only way I've ever tried to make it is I take 1/2 honey mustard and 1/2 honey, mix it around and top it on the Salmon and then bake it the same way you do in the foil. It's slightly sweet and the honey kind of makes a crust on top. I bet it would be good like that with your polenta recipe!

I'll start with my stuffed shells...we love these at my house...

1. We buy the jumbo shells box and you boil them according to the directions on the box. I run them over cool water when they are done so they stop cooking and will be cool enough to handle when its time to fill them.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. We use an 8x8 pan and I spray some Pam on the bottom and line the bottom with some of the pasta sauce that you would like to use.

3. The filling
One container of low-fat or fat-free Ricotta Cheese
1 T. of garlic powder (you can add more or less depend on taste)
2 T. of basil (you can add more or less depending on taste)
Salt and pepper for taste
1/4 cup of low fat mozerella cheese
2-3 T. of reduced fat parmesan cheese
2 Chicken breasts cubed into small pieces
1 egg white

Take all the ingredients and mix them together that is the filling for the shells...its really good LOL!!!

I then fill the shells and put them in the 8x8 glass dish. Once all the shells are filled and in the dish I pour another layer of sauce on top of the shells and then I sprinkle with another 1/4 cup of mozerella cheese (once again you can do more if you would like). Then I cover the dish with foil and cook in the oven for 30 minutes, then take the foil off and cook for another 5 minutes making sure all the cheese got melty.

Hope this helps!

Okay well I guess I should answer C's question...

Little things that make Disney for me... First of all none of these are in any particular order of priority for me LOL

1. Main Street Windows and Sounds...I finally listened to the vocal lessons one morning and it really made me feel like I was in heaven.

2. The smell when you walk into Goofy's Candy Co...I swear you can get a sugar buzz just from that smell.

3. The crow in the Haunted Mansion...it amuses me to find all the places where he is at LOL.

4. Hidden Mickeys...those are just little touches that really bring a smile to my face.

5. The smell of the orchard scene during Soarin...I want some of that for my bathroom and Kitchen.

6. The look on a small child's face when they are meeting a character...that look is priceless and I can't wait for the day its my little girl or little boy up there.

7. Raising my hand everytime the "Ghost Host" asks if I would like to volunteer to be the 1000 th ghost...well duh good sir...of course I want to volunteer LOL!!

8. The dog in COP and Pirates...I just adore that dog I want one like that.

9. Nothing beats the catchy Disney tunes on a ride..."Great, Big Beautiful Tomorrow", "Two Brothers", "Golden Dream," "Grim, Grimming Ghosts," I catch myself singing those tunes all day long.

10. The Yeti statue LOL!

Okay I'd better stop I could keep going on and on LOL

I totally started singing "It's a great big beautiful tomorrow" today Jen!
And who doesn't LOVE the dog in Pirates!
All great ones!! :thumbsup2

Where have you been hiding girl? (And what happened to megansmom? And circusgirl? and MEK?)

I'm here! I've been super busy (a combination of many 12 hour days at work and a month long variety/comedy festival I was involved in that took up most of the rest of my time) but have been trying to at least keep up. I have been slowly trying to finish my TR from September and hope that the busy-ness will be less busy soon.

I'm loving everybody's favorite things!

Good Evening Gnomies!

How is everyone tonight? I have spent the evening catching up on some of my DVR'd shows. I just :lovestruc Deadliest Catch. It was even better watching because my loving husband went and got me a Dairy Queen Blizzard! :rolleyes1

Time Bandit is kicking butt with their crab totals so far. :thumbsup2 The Cornelia Marie is not doing very well, I think the relief Captain (I can't remember his name) is really stressed out and his crew is not being very nice about their lacking crab totals. A cod fish boat went down 900 miles away from the Crab Fleet, so the end of the show was dealing with the Coast Guard going to rescue. It took them 9 hours to get there and the boat was gone, just debris. They pulled out one crew member but he had already died. :sad2: There are 10 crew members still in the water. :sad1:

I got a chocolate covered cherry with cookie dough blizzard, it's the bestest flavor combination EVER. :cloud9:

Blake says "Thank you LL, that was a very detailed description! Do you think Phil (the one with the lung clots) will make it for next season? Have you seen the Alaska Experiment on Discovery Channel?":rotfl2:
I pulled it up and said, hey Blake you wanna know what happened on DC last night? And he said, "How do you know?!" And I non-nonchalantly said "LL" :rotfl2:

YUM! Chocolate covered cherry sounds good! Do you get it with chocolate ice cream?
