I forgot we were in the area at the same time last year. As I was reading your previous post, I was thinking there was one when I was there...that was one of our SeaWorld days I think (we were taking an afternoon break and got hail and our hotel lost power)

Wow! We just got caught in a horrendous deluge of rain while at AK -- we got to eat our Yak and Yeti meal dripping wet and freezing.

I think they are a rarity -- remember last June when we were down there, there was one, but we didn't even know until two days later -- sometimes ignorance is bliss.

Nope and it is almost a blessing to not be able to check the weather while on vacation.

Oh boy... now you're fighting dirty. Those are the magic words... and not once but twice! I don't know... we'll see.

Edit: OK, went ahead and tried to price some options this morning. . Found ok (not great) passholder discount for room but airfare is another story. I won't do it unless I can find it for less than $200. I am tracking it and we'll see if the fare drops below.

well as it IS April 15th, I'm thinking i should finish my taxes

I was good and did federal and state...months ago. It's that dang local and commuter tax that I always blow off

I did the local last night, while perusing the menus on AllEars...but when I went to do our commuter tax, i discovered that we can't file it joint...and I only have 1 form (DOH!) so now I gotta go to my mama's office and make copies.... pfft....then fill it out. OTTV....at least it's easy (a flat percentage rate) but still aggrievating!

its a lovely 0.2% tax that you have to pay for the 'privilige' of working in johnstown PA.... They discontinued it for a while and changed to a flat $52/year taken for our 1st paycheck... but now they brought it back AND KEPT the flat occ tax too!! sneaky buggers!

BTW LL... I hit 111K on bejeweled this morning

Morning. I am in a furious mood this morning -- Charles is the coach for the girls' soccer team at our middle school -- the season ended April 2 and all his paperwork was submitted on March 30. He has still not been paid. Since I am the employee of the school system and he's not, I emailed the HR director about where his check is -- she said she could not discuss it with me which makes me furious. How is it breaking protocol to tell me whether it is in the mail or not???

That is a bit ridiculous! I understand why there are all these privacy laws now but you can't do anything anymore. I can't even talk to the cable company because it's only in Marc's name. It makes me furious since they will take the check every month with my signature on it!

Yep. Right there with you. I simply wanted to know when he could expect the check. What eats me up is that she told me that our athletic director could follow-up and find out the status -- how is that different? Charles isn't even married to the athletic director!

I hope so, too. I shouldn't even be having to deal with this -- they should have sent the check two weeks ago when the paperwork was faxed in.

I hate situations like that. We had to deal with a nasty HR person about a month ago at Marc's work. He kept calling and emailing and she would NEVER return his calls. It was really frustrating.
