Nobby's Gnomies... heading to WDW in April 2010

OK, just had to post it because I got thinking about Daniel's b-day cake and green dyed coconut and I was so happy with how it turned out

I like the spice drops but it's the kind of thing that only I would eat and I don't like them enough to justify an entire bag and nobody else in the house would eat them. I bought an entire bag to decorate Daniel's birthday cake (I only needed 6 total!) and finally threw out the leftovers recently, guess I should have held onto them huh!

How bad is it that I ate lunch less than 1 hour ago and I'm already looking forward to dinner? I sauteed chicken breasts for dinner last night and made mashed potatoes too. I also made a sauce for my chicken (nobody else in the house would want it so it was on the side) with spinach, mushrooms, white wine and feta cheese - so yummy!

Really I love those spice drops. YUM YUM!

Your dinner sounds really good Katie! I kinda want to take a picture of the Polenta tonight but I think MIL would think I'd lost my marbles. Marc decided that he does not want cake so I am not stopping.

I nearly just had an heart attack.

I just checked my email and my mom sends me one with the subject line.

"YOU ARE AN AUNTIE."



Totally disregarding the fact that I have issues with my younger brother having a child before me, tears sprung to my eyes because of all the troubles I have been having with getting pregnant. I know that isn't right of me but I can't help the way I react.

I open the email and....

My brother and his wife got a freaking dog!

My mom isn't home so I can yell at her for nearly giving me an heart attack. Pffft.

The boys and I stopped at the video store on our way home and picked up Bedtime Stories. We came home, got on our jammies and ordered pizza hut so my chicken leftovers will have to wait until tomorrow, maybe breakfast

Nobby has arrived!! I felt like The sisterhood of the traveling pants (well, gnome ) today!! So cool that the box is being re-used, but holy goodness, was that a lot of packing peanuts!

Riley got caught playing with Nobby! "Hey mom, this guy is fun!"

Then, all of a sudden, Riley thought it was time for Nobby to play back. She got her big yellow cat and when I took the picture, this is what I saw:

She had knocked Nobby completely over and she's in the back still swinging her cat around. Poor Nobby!!

So now, he's taking a rest on the kitchen table. He misses you all though! I'll keep him safe this weekend!

How fun Katie! Blake and I used to always do that when he came to visit me in college. A dvd from blockbuster and normally stuffed crust meatlovers pizza from Pizza Hut! Haven't seen Bedtime Stories yet, but hope your movie night goes well!

No worries C! There was just so much static charge, they all stuck to me and Nobby (just like the sand!) Good way to recycle though, I'll be sure to pass the peanuts on to Jen next

By the way, Riley is a very cute girl. I bet she and Nobby will have all kinds of fun. I wonder if she smells my furry princess on the box. Or maybe she just really likes gnomes!

CUTE cake Katie! And we saw Bedtime Stories the other night and enjoyed it. A litte un-realistic fantasy, if that makes sense.... but cute and fun nonetheless.

The visit was nice. Not as bad as I thought, no dessert was mentioned, though I did put the fruit cocktail in the fridge in case she said something.

I wanted to be prepared with chilled fruit cocktail.

Polenta is really easy to make, sometimes you have to play around with the "seasoning" of it but you can also buy it flavored already, it's just a little more expensive. I will have Marc write down a recipe for the polenta.

I'll hvae a new address label to put on after my May trip!

Actually Riley got her cast off on monday but she had a few sores on her pads where the cast was rubbing, so that's my makeshift bandage (1/2 an ace bandage and electrical tape!) to keep her from licking her feet since she always pulls her ecollar off!

Be extra careful with the weather, man CP...we're all thinking about you!

Good Friday everyone!!!

Well my inlaws decided to stay an extra day which is why I was non existent yesterday but they are gone and I can finally enjoy today off. I think I'm going to make egg salad and scrapbook for awhile. I'm just exhausted with all that we did with them LOL!

Awww..Riley and Nobby looked so cute!!! Glad Nobby arrived safely!

LL...glad dinner with the inlaws went well and that the polenta was such a success...it sure does sound yummy!!!

Jackie...stay safe today and for all this stress me thinks that Jim should have to come visit you and do a live weather report from your front lawn LOL.
