Nobby's Gnomies... heading to WDW in April 2010

Wow Katie, you're doing great! I noticed your ticker. I wanted to add one but figured if I get frustrated, I'll hate seeing it.

Yea, LL... don't get worried about the crowds. You're not a big "Commando" kind of person any way, right? Plus, with your mom and Jen with you, you'll have a blast whatever you guys are doin!

See, I figured if it would make me feel more accountable to it! Wierd though because I added it yesterday but I can't see it :confused3

Good Afternoon Gnomies. T Minus 4 hours until my weekend starts. Not that I am counting down or anything. :lmao:

I would be up for a Saturday Night Chat! I should be around, I don't have too much planned this weekend. Let me know if we set a time. :thumbsup2

Tell Allison good luck this weekend, Paula! :thumbsup2

Katie, I agree with you about that post about the guy in the military. I'd take 3 trips over none! I wouldn't care where I ate. :lmao:

Chat sounds good to me. My kids go to bed at 8 so I can't really chat any earlier than 8:30 central.

Hi ladies!

70 degrees, sunshine, not at work, home on the deck with my laptops. Yes, plural. Both the home and the work laptops. I'm sure I look like a nut! :lmao:

Katie - good for you being on the diet/fitness program. It is REALLY tough. I just had a diet Jenny Craig lunch and it did NOT hit the spot. :sad2: But I am motivated to be in really good shape for gnomefest and possibly the half marathon in 2011. I'm toying with a 5K for September but I think that may be too quick.

Jess - think you've already left but hope you have a great weekend! :goodvibes

LL & Jen - 35 days. SO jealous. BTW, Jen, I have to confess. I have no idea what OTTDVDV means. :confused3

Paula - sorry the stomach bug has hit y'all. Sounds like you are doing well transitioning from your vampire ways. ;) Hope Allyson does well this weekend! :)

Julez- don't you HATE when it rains on the weekend? I get so angry! Our forecast is ok for tomorrow but rain on Sunday too.

I would love to chat Saturday night!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay:

DVD...stands for Mr. Dick Van **** which apparently you can't type out his whole name on the DIS boards...and one night in chat we were all greatly amused that DVD had become a bad and banned word on DIS so we implemented OTTDVDV which would be almost similar to OTTFV LOL!!!!

LOL I find it amusing I can type his first name but I can't most of his last name LOL Okay now I'm amused all over again LOL

I never would have guessed that. Thanks for clearing up the mystery. Goes to show ya... you miss a lot when you miss a chat night! :lmao:

OTTV - I have a Weight Watchers banner on my DIS page. Like it's watching me and saying don't eat anything, C....

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

C, I had a weight watchers lunch which is one of my favorites, chicken enchiladas suiza (very creamy and cheesy, does NOT taste like diet food) Healthy Choice has come out with a number of new dishes that are really good too (chicken florentine, pot stickers and smoked cheddar chicken are the ones I have tried so far) I will admit that I am REALLY looking forward to my afternoon snack because I discovered that Fiber One Oat and Chocolate bars are actually quite good. I have had one everyday for the last week instead of other treats and don't feel deprived (and I like my sweets so that is saying a lot!)

I just figure it will take me until gnomefest to lose these 45 pounds, then I will really deserve to be bad for a week! I also have in my mind that my 20 year HS reunion will be in 2010 and doesn't everyone want to look good for that!

Thanks for the tips, Katie! Keep me posted if you find any new diet friendly foods or if any other gnomies know of any. I've found some Kashi crackers that I like with laughing cow cheese and I love the lean cuisine brand panini sandwiches. I'm going to try the others you recommended! :thumbsup2

I love the Chex Mix bars. I've had the Turtle ones which are 2 points on WW and then the Chocolate ones that I think are 3 points on WW. Both are really good!

OOH I have Healthy choice meals and WW meals I find them quite yummy!

I think my favorite snack is the Frozen soft pretzels you can buy they are only 3 points and I love to dip them in Mustard (which is 0) thank goodness for 0 point Mustard that condiment has saved my diet many times LOL!! It's really good and with the carbs it is quite filling also.

Tonight I'm definitely getting out and going for a walk LOL!

Thanks for the tips, LL and Jen... I will check both of those out! ::yes::

-------------

I just watched an episode of Househunters International. And this young-ish woman (I'd say she was in early 30's if that) was buying a 2nd home in Belize for $600K. What am I doing wrong????? Here I am seeking airfare to Orlando for < $200! :rotfl:

I :lovestruc Househunters International and the US version. I find the International one even more fascinating, it makes you wonder what these people do to get that kind of money!

Do you fly a certain carrier or are you flexible? :confused3

I get so frustrated with those househunters shows for the same reason. I wonder how in the world they can afford those homes. Where did I go wrong in my life that I don't make that kind of money? Of course, where I live $600K would buy the most expensive home in town.

Seeking out inexpensive tickets is just common sense...it leaves more money for champagne and lunch with cute waiters!
